Unsanitary restaurant! We were in the square and decided to quickly stop at this restaurant. We ordered water, caesar salad and cod fritters as to go order because we were rushing back for our flight. While waiting the man who appeared to be the manager brought us our waters, opened the water and pour a little in the glass. While waiting for our orders, we noticed he walked back to the kitchen then what occurred concerned me, he took my cod, fritters with his bare hands, out of one dish to put them in a to go box. I noticed this man, sneeze in his hands, walk around and remove dirty dishes from tables, wipe sweat from his forehead. I never once saw him wash his hands, but saw him walk immediately to the kitchen and begin to touch our food with his hands!! I was troubled and told my friend let’s go. We proceeded to leave the restaurant and then he proceeded to run out of the restaurant yelling “pay for the water” while also using profanity which I’m not allowed to post. we were so taking a back at his foul language, we stood there for a moment, trying to process it as he kept yelling in front of the entire square “pay me for the f water”Stating if we did not pay for the waters, he was going to call the police and proceeded to start whistling for the police.. Keep in mind we never even drank the water. He opened it and poured in the glass. After a minute of him yelling, we then told him we would go back and pay for the water we never drank! as we went back into the restaurant he took both bottles and shoved them towards us as if to say here you take the water that you’re paying for. We told him we did not want at all! We followed him back to the cash register, pulled out our Amex cards and he proceeded to pay $6 euros for water. We know he overcharged on purpose!! He even went further by saying “ can you afford to pay for the water?” After which I was so over it, I begin to tell him off and tell all of his customers how his bare hands weee on everyone’s food. Once he realized I was NOT backing down at that point and was giving him the same energy he gave us, he immediately asked us to leave the restaurant. Funny enough he no longer wanted us to pay for the water because he did not want me to continue telling his customers how incredibly nasty he was. BEWARE BEWARE OF THIS RESTAURANT!!! AVOID HEPATITIS A IF YOU CAN BECAUSE IF YOU EAT HERE, THERE’S A POSSIBILITY YOU MAY GET THAT OR...
Read moreA recent visit to Mosty Restaurant in Barcelona unfortunately fell short of expectations, particularly in the areas of service and overall dining experience. While a late-night dining option on La Rambla is appealing, the establishment's execution was significantly lacking.
Upon arrival around 22:30hrs, there was no one at the door to greet customers. A male staff member with a silver chain simply pointed to a table, a notably unprofessional and unwelcoming start to the evening, and a few minutes later chucked the menus on the table. The initial seating was problematic, with water dripping from above, necessitating a move to a new table. This was followed by a persistent issue with flies, making the dining experience uncomfortable and unsanitary.
Service was a primary point of concern. While one young female waitress was courteous and attentive, the attitude of the two male waiters was consistently poor. Their demeanor was rude and dismissive, giving the impression that customers were an inconvenience. This was not an isolated incident; we observed at least two other groups leave the restaurant due to the staff's impolite behavior and communication, which included yelling, silly facial expressions and pointing at patrons.
The quality of the food did not justify the price. The dishes were unremarkable and did not meet the standards one would expect for the cost. To compound the frustration, a 10% service charge was added to the bill. Given the substandard and disrespectful service received, this charge was undeserved and felt like a final insult. Had it been noticed before leaving, it would have been challenged.
In conclusion, Mosty Restaurant fails to provide a positive or even a professional dining experience. The combination of a lack of basic hygiene, rude and unprofessional staff, and mediocre food at a high price point makes it an establishment to be avoided. For a more satisfying culinary experience, it is highly recommended to explore other restaurants in Barcelona, where both the food and the service are of a much...
Read moreI went there last night for new year's eve horrible they made the start of my new year bad. I would even recommend this place to my worse enemy. I am not usually the type to write reviews especially bad reviews but it was the worst service I have ever received. We had a table reserved with my family and we went in and they told us to sit down. We waited for a menu for 5 mins then they came and said have you chosen your food. They didn't inform us that we accuse the menu through a barcode. Then they told us we only have an hour to eat and stay in the restaurant. then the waiter rushed us to order drinks and we told him that we wanted 2 cupa of sangria. He told us to get a jug even though we kept telling him we did not want a jug. He places the order as a jug. The jug coats €30. We should of left then and there but my mother wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. It just kept getting worse. As we ordered a paella and on the menu it says €33 for 2 at the top in big letters however in small letters at the bottom of the page it says is €33 per person.just be aware of the menu and read all the fine words. We normally do but he was rushing us not letting us choose what we actually want. He charges us for 2 paellas even though it was one big plate. When we called him over after he gave us the receipt he ignored us saying it says it in fine small letters at the bottom and blamed it on us. Horrible way to starts the new year. Horrible costumer survives. Would never go there again. Just rude waiters, rushes atmosphere and trying to get all your money. I don't mind spending €180 on food food for 3. However we only order paella, sangria, beer and prawns. Small plates and not tasty. Save your miny and go to a place which is worth it. Also to add on when we were leaving we did bye and happy new year total ignore form the...
