Had high hopes for this restaurant. Definitely nice ambiance. Staff could be friendlier, for such a high priced establishment. Saw the reviews, paella was the thing to order. Big portion. Yes. But it was TOO DAMNED SALTY. We gave that comment (asking if paellas were meant to be that salty) to the waiter, who was a very curt fellow. He took the whole half served dish away, and came back to tell us, it was not salty. And that was that. As if nothing happened, like it was our fault for not wanting high blood pressure from the salty paella. After this, the service levels took a nose dive. They were clearing our table as if they were in a rush to get rid of us. Unfortunately for them, we had to take our time with the bottle of wine. Seriously, definitely not what we expected from such an establishment. Steak was fine, albeit more medium well than medium that we ordered. The rest, you can get better elsewhere, at much cheaper prices. Sorry to have to write this. Edit: after tasting various other paella from our trip, we have decided to change our rating here to ONE star as we are convinced that the paella served here was indeed bad, and the waiter's attitude to our feedback,...
Read moreThis place came highly recommended. The Restaurant itself was very nice, they have different sections. Walking in seemed like I was being taking to the kitchen or the back office, but then you find out that they have another dinning room in the back. The ambiance was nice, however, i was underwhelmed by the food. I had breaded fried calamari as appetizer and grilled sea bass for entree. The portion was very health. The bread on the calamari was a bit mushy. I'm not sure why since it was fried. I could only manage to eat one of the 8+ pieces on the plate. The Sea bass was well cooked, however it lacked any ounce of seasoning what so ever. The sea bass was grilled and then looked like it was over soaked in the olive oil on the plate. The sea bass in olive oil was overwhelming. I had grilled sea bass more than 4 time during my trip to Barcelona, however none of them appears to be immersed in olive oil like this was. Maybe my taste bud is not equipped to appreciate this style of cooking, but i definitely did not...
