Bar Manchester — Restaurant in Barcelona

The only truth about any of these positive reviews is that there is a bar inside the establishment. I ordered a vodka/soda with a “splash” of lime for €7 and the bartender literally filled 1/3 of the glass with lime juice to the point that it was undrinkable. To mess up a vodka soda is a special kind of ridiculous. The worst part of this place wasn’t even the bad cocktail—the restroom had no toilet seat, no toilet paper, no paper towels, no soap, and unflushed fecal matter in the toilet bowel…. And since there was zero trash can or trace of anything paper related in the bathroom I can only imagine what that poor soul had to wipe with. The bartender was also distracted in conversation with the only other human in the bar, who appeared to be her boyfriend. Go here if you want to waste money on cab fare to...

Went there for the NYE party. The music was a bit loud on the dancehall, but was okay at the tables; could talk with people and listen to the music at the same time.

I enjoyed the music, (not exclusively) taken from the best tunes made by the alternative/underground British scene. Read: The Prodigy, Stone Roses, Blur, Oasis, Sex Pistols, Joy Division/New Order, The Clash...

Price-wise, I spent 7e on a Jägerbomb and 4.5 on an apple ciders. Beers were 4e or so. Considering there was no entrance fee for NYE, I could consider it okay.

Overall I really enjoyed it, will probably go there...

A classic punky tourist bar - at least this was one of my first bars to start my life in Barcelona when I moved here. The place smells of the old beers still sticking to the floor. Maybe even the first one I shed down some years ago. I would say: go there. Authentic place with interesting characters of the nightlife scene.
