I visited the bar twice. At first it seemed a chill place with some real good music. But the second time the service just left me speechless.
In the beginning everything went fine, the only thing that was kinda not “customer friendly” was the way you had to pay right at the moment when they serve you your order but that’s fine, they just probably have much bad experience.
But then, right before we left… I swear I never faced that level of rudeness neither from the guards, nor from the bar tender. We were literally kicked out without a chance to finish our drinks with the words “Now go away. Leave.” That’s literally the first phrase I heard from the bartender during the whole night. My friend started compulsively finishing her drink and olives, I felt embarrassed and said “But we still have like 25 minutes to go”, after which I heard “What? You stupid? Leave and never come back. You can take your olives, go”. She basically threw those three olives on a plate at me and carried on insulting us in Catalan, while the guard was putting chairs [on the table] basically on our shoulders. End of story.
You think that’s a made up drunk fantasy? That’s not. It’s the...
Read moreWalked past this bar and noticed the decor, so came back after dinner for a few drinks. The decor is definitely eye catching - there is an upside down puppet band on the ceiling and the whole place is decorated with musical instruments (beer tap made out of a sax, a table made out of a drum). The music is good too - the kind of punk rock which doesn't alienate the general public and gets your head nodding. The drinks however were not strong at all, and the service was not particularly friendly or welcoming. Perhaps we just weren't cool enough to be in there. Also, we noticed the prices were changing each time we were ordering drinks and I suspect the bartender was just charging us whatever he wanted. Because of this we left after a few rounds. So stop by for a drink and take in the decor, but don't expect to hang around long unless you are with...
Read moreThe worst bar experience in Barcelona so far! I went to Sincopa with three other girlfriends. We ordered cocktails and my friend didn't like the taste of it and kindly asked if they can change it. When she requested for a change, the bartender guy, started yelling and arguing in a very disrespectful way. When my friend verbally defended herself, in a respectful way, the guy held his genitals and said something like "talk to them". The other bartender girl, even though saw what the guy did, defended him and pretended as if we're guilty of making a scene or something. The staff is enormously rude and disrespectful. I'm not even mentioning how dirty the toilets are, there are cockroaches and when you say something they ignore you. If you don't want to get insulted and disgusted, don't go...
