The place is worth the visit! First I saw the rating 4.1 and didn’t expect much but the experience was fantastic!
The portions were big (let’s not forget it’s tapas place) The breading was so thin that I wanted to get recipe immediately!
We took fried artichokes — so juicy, olives — divine, fried calamari — delicious and not at all rubbery, and anchovies — salty, tender just what we needed. We also took cheese, it was fine, I believe worth ordering when you really like cheese and not planing to have a full dinner.
Worth mentioning that calamari were suggested by the waiter instead of other dish and I’m forever grateful.
We sat on a terrace, got timely and attentive service although both the terrace and inside were crowded.
Dinner for two with 2 glasses of wine cost us €46 and we were full!

Read moreI left this place in tears! Me and my husband are spending our honeymoon here in Barcelona, we went to this restaurant because of all the good recommendations we saw online. I really was excited to enjoy our meal, but it turned out to be awful. We are asians and we are muslim, that seemed to be an issue for the older waitress who served us in the terrace. My husband and I speak some Spanish and we could understand all the racist and disgusting jokes that this server was sharing with her coworker. When we realized what was going on we cancelled the rest of our order and paid the bill. They did not care AT ALL about how we felt. To top it off, as we were leaving the waitress who disrespected us expressed to her manager: "Why would they come here?, they can't even eat jamon iberico". Honestly awful! For once I wished I didn't...
Read moreLa Bodegueta is an absolute gem and one of the best places to eat in Spain! The food is incredibly tasty, and the authentic vibe is spot on. Even though we didn’t speak Spanish, the staff went out of their way to interact with us and make us feel welcome.
A special shoutout to the lady slicing meats and plating dishes—she was amazing! She let us sample some cheeses we were interested in, including a delicious Manchego that was unforgettable. Every dish was perfect: the patatas bravas were flavorful, the tomato bread was fresh and vibrant, and the tortilla was simply incredible. Everything was washed down with vermouth, which tied the whole experience together beautifully.
If you’re looking for authentic Spanish food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, La Bodegueta is a must-visit. Can’t wait...
