Do not go if you're a tourist. We were there a few weeks ago and the service was really really bad. The worst I've ever experienced in my life.
*I didn't write a review right away because I wanted to see how the service was in other restaurants. We went to another restaurant (taverna el glop) that was packed and we still got our food in 15-25 mins. Btw, the food at Taverna El Glop was amazing! Go there instead of here!
First problem: We ordered Paella and water when we got there. The waiter got us these big expensive looking glassed water. I asked kindly in Spanish (I felt like we were getting ripped off by speaking English) if there was other options for water because I saw them serving plastic water bottles to other customers. The waiter lied to my face and said no, so I asked for the drink menu to see it for myself. It took him a long time to bring it, he was probably worried that I can speak/read Spanish and would find out that he was lying. He purposely brought me the English menu and obviously, the English menu didn't have the option because that's how they get tourists to spend more.
Second problem: We waited for 1 + hour and still no food! The waiter said "Paella will take 20 mins". Lies, we were there longer than that and still no food. People around us that came way later were already served and finishing up! Ridiculous!
Anyway, if you're a local then they'll probably serve you well cause they want you to go back. So you can ignore this review if you...
Read moreWhile looking for a place to eat we found on google after so much debate this restaurant. Hobby was hungry, I was looking more for a tapas place but he wanted paella. After few research in the area we decided to walk back 5 minutes and stop by here. This is a very locals place which right away I knew it was going to be good cause no tourist around. We ordered for appetizer patatas bravas (Potatoes on "spicy" sauce), Sangrias and a seafood paella. First our appetizer bomb, the sangria SO good but the main event, the Paella was OUTSTANDING.. what an amazing dish, we barely couldn't finish it but we tried or best to only leave almost nothing left. The service on top of this was amazing, our waitress lee she was so funny, she keeps calling me cariño (sweattie) and I live for it, she was so nice and making so much jokes, I love it. Overall I will give this place a 10/10, highly...
Read moreTHEY TREAT TOURISTS LIKE DIRT. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY. If I could give this place a zero I would. We order our meal (Paella) and some water. The server brought us the most expensive filtered water they have and said they don't have any other type of water. We watch other customers (locals) come, order, get served (other cheaper bottled waters) eat and leave. I asked the waiter how much longer a couple times and he told me 20 minutes both times. We were outraged by how poorly they took care of us. We were there total one hour before we just got up and left. Don't eat here if you are from out of town. It was the worst experience traveling I...
