ComePorketa - Pork Sandwich & Panceta Catalana a Barcelona — Restaurant in Barcelona

Visited yesterday, host was great at explaining what their menu items were and about the ingredients they use. It was very quiet inside so we were a bit skeptical but don't let that put you off because the food is delicious!

I had quesadilla and the flavour was beautiful. Partner had their famous porky burger with squid ink black bun, he isn't a big fan of pork but he said it was really good.

The only negative is that there was a lot of salt on the kids potato fries. It would be nice if the fries came without salt so you can add your own to your own taste as the children thought they were too salty.

I was weary of the places close to the Sagrada Familia since most of them seem like tourist traps. This one was absolutely spectacular and not busy at all since it's one street over. I got the Porketa a la Gallega and it was amazing. The pork was extremely juicy, but not heavy at all which was great. The fries were not fatty at all and cooked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable. The staff was really friendly and recommended options. There are also English menus for anyone struggling with Spanish, and the Wi-Fi is free.

Absolutely incredible. The panceta at Come Porketa is out of this world! Juicy, perfectly smoked, and packed with flavor 🤤 You can just taste the love and craftsmanship in every bite. So many of the things they serve are handmade by the owners themselves, and it really shows. The couple who run the place are absolutely adorable, genuinely kind, passionate, and so welcoming.
