If you're looking for the best sandwiches in Barcelona, then you simply MUST visit Miss Simona's!! If I'm honest, I was initially interested because I'm a dog lover and I couldn't resist that adorable face! But I did also spot another customer's sandwich and was intrigued. Let me tell you... I was NOT disappointed! The Italian owners were so friendly and told me all about the Italian cheese, breads and coffee that they use. I opted for the bacon sandwich as I wanted to eat half and take the other to go... DIVINE and keeps well for later! So divine in fact, that I came all the way across town (I was staying in the street with the fancy shops and good cafes but NOT nearly as good as Miss Simona's!) to come get that same sandwich and VERY good Italian coffee the very next day! The plug points were also so helpful for charging devices while touring the city. Thank you so much Hector and team! I felt so at home! As a chef from Australia, my standards are pretty high—and this little café absolutely exceeded them!

I had the Spanish Eggs Benedict, and it was spot on: perfectly poached eggs, silky hollandaise, and great balance of flavour. My mum ordered the pancakes, which were light, fluffy, and beautifully presented, and my dad loved his avocado toast—super fresh and full of flavour.

The coffee was excellent too (hard to find a good one in Europe sometimes!), and the service was honestly the best we’ve had in our three weeks travelling through Europe. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuine—we felt completely at home and ended up staying for hours.

We had our breakfast today at this cozy little restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for starting the day. We ordered scrambled eggs and the Spanish tortilla, which was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The bread was perfectly toasted, providing a nice crunch.

Alongside, we enjoyed the coffee with milk and the cappuccino that was rich and frothy, giving me that much-needed pick-me-up.
