Not recommended, especially for Casa Milá breakfast booked via official website.
The female waitress with pony hair was very arrogant when we came in and not sure what to do yet. My husband was still reading the sign "please order before taking a seat" on the table whilst she called us rudely and said "you need to follow me", maybe rolled her eyes as well but I'm not pretty sure about this. Considering this might be the rules, we accepted her arrangement of a table beside the kitchen with weird male kitchen staff kept staring at me, which made me a bit uncomfortable. We didn't doubt the seating rules until a bunch of people from a tourist group came in and seated randomly, some of them took the table with "reserved " sign as well, the staff didn't say anything. Since they ordered at the counter I'm sure they didn't make any reservations. Therefore I went to double check the seating rules with that waitress who served us, but she was just laughing like not nicely, left me a bit confused about what's so funny.
The food was edible, couldn't be more than €9.90/person which we paid on Casa Milá official website. Tea got offered without milk, toast basically got no sauce on but the bit seasoning on the egg. We could've chosen better and more expensive breakfast places, but with the endorsement of Casa Milá we did expect something a bit different. Not much to complain about tho, two stars for the food is reasonable.
The best thing of this place might be the ceiling which is stunning and full of design. But unfortunately that's not enough for making the restaurant a nice one. Or maybe I had set my...
Read moreA year after my visit to this coffee shop, I have finally remembered to write my review. My friends and I went here to grab coffee to go. There was only one waitress at the bar making drinks. We understand that she needs to take care of all drink orders. Therefore, we waited patiently in line to order drinks for ourselves. This action irritated this waitress. She gave us an attitude because we didn’t order together as a group. After each order, she will turn around and make drinks. Totally leaving people in line waiting to order their drinks behind. Just like we don’t exist. Finally, she came back to take orders after couple minutes, she complained why don’t you all order together, (with eyes rolling). She doesn’t seem to understand the fact that customers are individuals who can pay for their own drinks… All she cared about was how much time she lost due to taking orders separately. I hope she’s no longer working here because she is the ruddiest person I’ve met during my...
Read moreIf you are visiting Casa Mila or La Pedrera, El Café de la Pedrera is hard to miss. Sitting right next to the entrance of casa Mila, this cafe has a whole lot to offer. While it may seem small from the outside, it has a decent sized patio seating and a huge indoor dinning hall. Not being acclimatized to the heat yet, we chose to sit inside. The staff was very helpful and professional and did speak some English. We were here at 11am on Sunday and were able to get a table for 7 without any wait. The food we ordered included an avocado toast, a fig and cream cheese toast ( I forgot the exact name (sorry)), chia seed bowl, granola bowl and omelette. The fig toast was surprisingly good and my favorite from our spread. The chia bowl came a close second. All the items were carefully made and were scrumptious! The place was quiet and the ambience was good. I also loved the photos and the wall art this place had. We enjoyed our brunch here and all of us recommend...
