El Corner del Taulat — Restaurant in Barcelona

Avoid avoid avoid. The worst meal I have ever had. We were a large group so ordered quite a lot of things. The menu did not contain details of allergens so one of us who was allergic to pine nuts ordered the burrata salad only to discover it had pesto on it, when we questioned this they said it definitely wasn’t pine nuts even though we could see that it was. Then some of our food arrived and was basically charcoal. The prawns were the smallest things you’ve ever seen and were horrifically over cooked and not fresh. All the mussels on the paella were dead. The croquettes were cold on the inside and completely tasteless. We ordered margaritas and were served something with gin in instead. The pizza was also a corner shop oven pizza with some cheese added - definitely not mozzarella and it was also full of grit and stones. Left with a chipped tooth and an empty belly as only a couple of mouthfuls...

Nice people and great fries, but that's unfortunately all good I can say about this place.

Inside it's hot AF and outside there's not much space. My pork ribs were extremely mediocre, like it's a packet from the supermarket to warm up in the oven, and then still those might even be better. It was also such a small portion size and didn't include any vegetables apart from one(!!!) cherry tomato, I'm still hungry writing this. Might have to eat the leftover baguette from this morning to make it till the next. Ate here with my family, their paella was bad and chicken was average at best. Pasta was pretty good.

Good service - we wanted to sit outside and the waitress helped us after some time to create a place for us. But after that it went slow. Drinks and orders for food - food arrived after more than one hour. Paella seafood was pretty dried out and Paella rice itself was a bit salty, but not really good tasting. Pork ribs was a small portion not really good, although the fries were excellent. Spaghetti boloñes was very good. Half chicken was OK with breast a bit dry and the rest fine. Good portion.
