Llevant — Attraction in Barcelona

Platja de Llevant is such a lovey beach! Located right near Fòrum and the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona, it has great walking accessibility (there is also parking available if you choose to drive). The beach appears clean & well-kept. I visited a couple of times during a recent trip to Barcelona to see + swim in the Mediterranean and the afternoon hours seemed to be at peak in terms of the crowds. When I visited, it definitely cleared-out in the evening hours, particularly around sunset. Despite the crowds, everyone seemed very respectful of one another's space. There were lifeguards present each day as well.

The sea is incredible, the water is clean & so clear - you can see fish swimming around with you. Unfortunately, the showers did not seem to be working each time I visited, so the sand was a bit harsh on my feet leaving the beach (because I couldn't fully rinse each time I left). The waves are easily the best part of this beach! They were absolutely CRAZY while I was there. One of them was even strong enough to knock me off my feet, that's how good they were! Other than that, the water's warm enough, the sand is nice, warm and comfortable to walk around barefoot, it's reasonably clean (yeah, there's still a little bit of trash, but it isn't a big issue) and there are even showers here, which are quite useful for when sand inevitably sticks to your feet from the amount of fun you'll have here. Llevant Beach – Great Spot with Dog-Friendly Area 🐾🏖️

We visited Llevant Beach and loved that it has a designated dog-friendly area at the far end—such a nice find in Barcelona! It’s a great place to let your dog enjoy the sand and sea freely. 🐶🌊

There are also shower facilities nearby, which is super convenient after a beach day. The area was clean and not overly crowded, making it enjoyable for both humans and pets.
