Tras-paso — Restaurant in Barcelona

Three blocks close to Barcelona Beach, but far away from the tourist restaurants on the beach, this little local corner restaurant awaits. Opened by two French restauranteurs fifteen years ago, and managed by a young, multi-lingual, and hip crew who made us feel at home when we sat at one of their dozen tables in an energetic, funky environment. Tras Paso was perfect for a casual meal away from the high prices of the beach. We were so impressed with this place! Even for local favorites like pimientos de padrón and patatas bravas, everything was spot on. The sea bass was absolutely flawless, and the side of rice had an amazing taste — I don’t even know how they make rice this good. The tuna tartar salad was simply the best of the best. The main dishes overall felt like something you’d get in a fine dining restaurant, but in such a warm and welcoming setting. We were so happy to have discovered this amazing spot. The service was amazing literally!! We would give him 10/10 if we could!! We don’t speak Spanish but the guy in the pictures of reviews holding the bottle beer smiling ( I can’t remember his name ) he was amazing!!

He treated me and Mrs both very kindly, he was very patient with us as the menu changes daily, the food was the absolute best out of all the restaurants we went too hands down! It’s just sad we can’t go back as it’s closed today and opens after we fly back home to the UK tomorrow.
