En Diagonal Bar was easily one of the best dining experiences we had in Barcelona. It's a small family-run restaurant serving authentic Catalan food. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. The owners are incredibly kind and make you feel like you're part of the family.

The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. We tried a few local dishes and loved every bite. Nothing felt touristy or commercial, just real home-style cooking.

OMG hidden gem of Barcelona. Very friendly and local tapas bar near Sagrada Familia. We just went for white wine and fell in love with this bar and had to come back the next day to try their tapas and WOW it was really great tapas. I recommend all tapas that we ordered; mushroom with garlic and parsley, spicy sausage(Catalonian style), and of course patata bravas with paprika powder on top! Food are all fresh and authentic. Highly recommend this bar and I’m definitely coming back here when I’m back in Barcelona! Also just a note to the owner of this restaurant; thank you so much :) I felt like you guys are my Barcelona parents even though I don’t speak Catalan. We will come back!...

We discovered this charming establishment on a walk through the neighborhood. The inside is cozy and welcoming, with wide smiles and friendly greetings from all the staff. Although it is called a bar (and the drinks are good), there are plenty of tasty food choices as well. Lastly, feel free to practice horrible Spanish with the hosts, if they patiently and happily accommodated my attempt then all others will be well received. We look forward to revisiting...
