If you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in Barcelona where the service is fast, the food is good, and the prices won’t leave your wallet crying — Kois might be just the place.

🪑 Table & Atmosphere

We didn’t have to wait to be seated — our table was ready and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient, and dishes arrived surprisingly quickly. The overall vibe is cozy and warm, although the chairs could definitely be more comfortable. It’s a nice space for a casual lunch or dinner, but maybe not the spot for a long, laid-back evening.

📍 Layout & Accessibility

The restaurant has two floors. Upstairs you’ll find an extra dining area for larger groups, the kitchen, and a server station. There’s even a small service lift for transporting used dishes — a thoughtful touch that hints at solid back-end organization.

⚠️ Important: The restroom is only accessible by stairs, located on the second floor. There is no wheelchair-accessible toilet, so guests with mobility issues should take that into account.

🍤 Food & Service

The menu is broad and varied — sushi, sashimi, oysters, grilled prawns… Everything we ordered was fresh, well-presented, and flavorful. Dishes came out fast, but without feeling rushed.

💡 Tip: Only order what you can actually eat — the restaurant charges €3 for each unfinished plate. It’s fair, but worth keeping in mind when ordering.

💸 Pricing

We spent about €55 for two people: roughly €50 on food and around €10–12 on drinks. Since the all-you-can-eat menu is €25 per person, the value is quite solid considering the quality and variety of dishes.

Kois is a great spot for casual meetups with friends or even a low-key date. It’s not luxury dining, but it has charm, character, and you’ll definitely leave satisfied.

Terrible Hospitality – Extremely Rude Staff I had one of the worst dining experiences. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely unwelcoming and rude. Instead of greeting us properly, they asked us to wait outside in a very disrespectful manner. When we were finally seated, their attitude did not improve – the service was unfriendly, and it felt like they didn’t care about the customers at all. Si te pasa como a mí que amas la comida japonesa 🇯🇵 🫰🏻, pero no te gusta el sushi 👎🏻 este es mi buffet de confianza. Tienen más de 130 platos en la carta 📖, la gran mayoría no son sushi y siempre que voy como muchísima variedad y salgo muy llena🤰.

Todos los platos que pido me gustan mucho 👍 y estoy muy contenta 🤩 de que por fin existan sitios así y no solo para los aficionados al sushi 🍣.

Por la noche 🌃 el buffet es un poco más caro 🪙, pero te incluyen platos que al mediodía no están como las ostras 🦪, los langostinos a la plancha 🦐…
