Just tested this place which is in my neighbourhood. I had a croissant with pistachio filling, really good. Of course the filling is mostly on the big side due to its cone form. The coffee was excellent, they use MAG BLE from EL MAGNIFICO on Barcelona. The service was very friendly and polite. As it was the end of they day, I could observe the cleaning, which was very good, especially comparing the cheap chains we have everywhere here. The price is of course a little higher compared to the coffee chains (3,30€ for the croissant and 2,45 for s coffee with milk in 03/2025), but this is fully justified with the quality of product and service.
Overall a nice small place.
UPDATE 06/2024: I visited the shop again last Monday (the Day before St. George), to have a nice Croissant & Coffee. To my surprise, they did not offer any Croissant or Alternative, only entire Cocas de Sant Joan (far too much for just a coffee). That is the pitty here in Catalonia, shops often are just behind your money, a good service does not matter.
For me a NoGow, so I left the shop without having anything. I guess I won't come back either, does not feel like they have an interest in their clients. I finally went to Takashi ochiai, they served Croissants and all as usual PLUS Coca de Sant Joan that fay. THAT is a...
Read moreMany people say that atelier is one the best places to eat croissant in Barcelona , I tried it and completely disagree. Their cone croissant barely has any filling, very disappointing ... for 2.60€ you're better off spending a little bit more, around 3-4€ and getting one fully filled at another bakery.
Please fill well the inside of your croissants next time. Selling a " filled " croissant which isn't well filled is a scam. If I knew it was going to be like that I wouldn't have bought it.
I tried a piece of their white chocolate shaped cake at a gourmet store they provide , and it was disgusting. It looked good but when I cut it out and tasted it, it was completely dried out. 🤢 It was hard to eat. That wasn't recently baked at all, the quality I expect from a bakery like theirs wasn't there.
I would love to give them another shot and try their pastas de té or individual cakes but I'm scared it will turn out to be a huge disappointment like the rest.
☆ The cake looks beautiful but it was completely dried out inside, the quality of a good cake wasn't there. At the moment I give Atelier a 0 out of 10 They quality has been horrible, I'm happy paying a high price but I expect...
