Worst service. I never find myself writing reviews, however, I need to get this out. Girlfriend and I had a reservation, we were seated and we were really just trying to grab some quick bites. Waiter said we HAD to order a main dish otherwise he’d have us leave, whatever.
So we chose paella. Mind you, my girlfriend asked if the paella could be made for 1 person only, as you usually order paella for 2 people minimum, and as we had already ordered a lot of tapas. Waiter said yes fine no problem. We didn’t really want paella but since we had to, we made sure to the waiter to order for 1 person only, of which the price was €19,50. the waiter told us there was NO minimum of 2 people and we could just order for 1 person.
There were no notes on the menu stating that we had to order for 2 people minimum as some other dishes had. So there is no way we could’ve known what was going to happen.
Food was great.
However, when we got the bill, we saw 2 PAELLA VALENCIANA whatever it was. This was clearly not how we ordered it, as we had ordered for 1 person.
I walked up to the counter and I asked why the bill had 2 paellas, the waiter said “yea well the minimum order amount is 2 and we can’t change it and because there’s a lot of demand for paella our minimum is 2” I told him I understand, but I said him to please state that on the menu as I have now paid for 2. He then said ‘we sell per pan’ and ‘2 ppl minimum’ whatever. 1 pan = 2 people. There’s NOTHING on the menu that states that. It just says and you can look it up ‘€19.50’ Don’t put up a dish like that when you’re gonna charge me something else on the bill.
Also, waiter was being very nice to the Spanish folks, however was being a jerk to us since the beginning.
TLDR great food. worst service i have ever gotten. will...
Read moreThey rushed us to finish the dinner in 90 minutes saying they have another customer’s reservation. We arrived at the restaurant at 19:30 as we reserved and ordered one bottle of cava, two plates of tapas and paella for two person(costed 60 Euros). Around 20:30, they told us to move out from the restaurant by 21:00. It was Saturday and I totally understand this place is popular among tourists (I could hear English and Chinese all over)and they want to accept more customers. But it should have been better if they could give us some warnings before like “please finish dining in 90 minutes” then I could move my reservation time earlier or something. I live in Spain for 4 months and when I eat out with my expats or local friends, generally we take more than two hours to finish dinner. It was reunion dinner with my friend visiting from USA. We really wanted to take time to enjoy food and conversation. Taste wise, it was ok. Personally I don’t like overlooked soft paella they served. And I prefer ajillo in hot boiling oil but they served...
Read morePlease be more careful and cautious of taking orders from your customers. The mixed up they had when taking our orders made us paid an order of 2 portions of Catalan with sausages, vegetables & mushrooms. That said menu was one of the menus we asked because as a first timer in spain, we are not aware of the food difference and portioning as the said order would be for our kids (3yr and 5yr old) and said to them will be getting there kids menu changing and canceling the first one, as explained to us that those kind of menus per order must be in two portions.(kids will not be able to finnish an adult person)
But in the end, they insisted that we need to pay for that said order that was originally change and canceled. Also insisted that we need to say it for the 2 people who are taking orders.
They put the blame in the customer rather than accepting there mistake in getting orders.
Lost my appetite...
