Great food, the quality of the product cannot be denied, the good cooking techniques and the presentation of the dishes are on par with a 5* GL hotel restaurant (Credits only goes to the kitchen staff and their tolerance of harmful work environment, overcoming the disastrous dining room service ) Unfortunately, the F&B management is really mean. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO WORK HERE!!!!!!!! There is a constant staff rotation, the same offer is published all year round as you can see on many job portals and this is due to poor work ethics, verbal abuse and false sanctions to harm those who contradict the lack of professionalism of the F&B department. It is a shame that Mr. Fornell does not care that his image, his brand, is used to damage his impressive gastronomic career by supporting the mistreatment of working people. I do not recommend anyone to work here under the orders of a mediocre F&B director and his assistant, a lady who lacks values, education and knowledge of the hospitality sector. They should be ashamed of themselves, but these people lack that quality. For my advice, keep going like this! the great professionals and good people that your little director discards benefit restaurants (and also lawyers) in...

Food was kind of ok, truffle pasta was good. Wine selection was good.( all and all mediocre)

Service was horrible. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. We were one of the last people in the restaurant and we were almost chased away. Trying to take our plates away while still full of food. Bottle of wine was more then half full and they wanted to clear our table. Then we are being looked at by all of the staff watching their watches and sighing. It was so uncomfortable. I was almost in shock like this can’t be happening! We got a comment from a waiter that he has a family at home so if we could hurry up. The time was midnight and they’re open till 1am. They could have asked us politely to finish the bottle at the bar in the hotel and we would have been totally fine with that. Instead of the glares and attitudes we got. On top of that I left my back up charger on the table. Which I’m certain of now, cause we made pics and it was visibly left on the table. And returning the next day of course no body saw it or has it..... Service bad bad bad! Stay away at all costs. They’re are plenty of other great choices with even better...

It is in a 5 star hotel located near the gothic and Born areas. Nice interior design with the restaurant sunken slightly below street level with huge triple height windows. Above the bar is the Caelis restaurant which has 1 Michelin star and I assume the menu in La Plassohla is designed by the same chefs. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced considering that it is in a 5 star hotel. The service was first class. It was efficient and surprisingly friendly and pleasant. All the dishes were delicious with great presentation. The lunchtime menu is a bargain! It includes water but alcoholic drinks are charged seperately. A very cosmopolitan feel to it and great place to be. I will definitely be back but I will be tempted to go the Caelis restaurant which if the food in La Plassohla is anything to go by will...

You’ll probably see a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor saying “amazing” or “best restaurant that we had in Barcelona” for lots of restaurants. I think this quick pre-show dinner here was one of my favorite meals in Barcelona. Food was thoughtfully prepared and unique. Pricing (~45euros per person) was reasonable given the ambiance, location, and service, and quick enough to squeeze 5 tapas and dessert in before the show. We loved every dish we ordered. Especially “la pera” for dessert. To us, this was significantly better value and food than the extremely well reviewed Teoric Taverna.

Food is good, atmosphere is cosy, but food is pricy. But it make sense since the owner of this restaurant is the Chef behind the Michelin starred Caelis. Hence the food reflect the prestige and creativity of the mother brand. Paella and iberico is quality, but the the price paid could come with abit more fanciness. The egg is something special and is really good. The dessert is also vedy creative, but taste is nothing to shout about. Overall i would still come back for the egg and Iberico steak. Side note: big shout to the waiter that served us. He was fantastic.

We ordered sea food and there was some meat inside which nobody told us about. There were vegetarians with us, who were shocked that there was no notice about it! Whatsoever we told the waiter about it and he even didn’t apologise for the situation. In the end there was no discount on the bill so we asked for the manager - who’s english was so bad btw or he was just - not talking - he just said “aha” and was gone... the result in the end was : we didn’t paid for the sea food part, but still no apology. For those prices and for 5 stars hotel this is not acceptable.
