Came back to Barcelona to collaborate with the Mandarin Oriental and Hotel Majestic (for the second time) nearby for our hobby Instagram (with which we collaborate with luxury hotels and fashion brands). We passed by on a Saturday and thought it looked cute but the rude (sloppy, heavy set, and badly dressed) host said they were fully booked, even though the tables were all empty.

We decided to make a booking for the next day, even though the tables were all empty past the time they were allegedly booked on Saturday, arrived, tried to order sangria which they did not have so ordered one of their crappy wine options instead (also we had booked a table on the street, but they did not give us a table on the street but in the very corner of the interior courtyard, which we did not want).

After we ordered our drinks, they asked what we wanted to place for our food order and we explained that we only eat after 11 PM - never have we had an issue in Barcelona or any city on the six continents we visit every year with ordering drinks only, living in Europe (London) and NYC, it’s pretty common to just have drinks, nonetheless in Spain.

Even though our drinks were only half empty, and there were many open at tables as this is 3 PM (the time of day pretty much no one is ever around, siesta time on a sleepy Sunday), they said that they would need us to leave if we were not going to order food (I don’t think the server cared, but the rude host likely instructed him to say that).

I guess it makes sense they don’t have very good reviews online with the subpar service (and drink options, can’t speak to the food for the aforementioned reasons, but we didn’t see any food that looked decent delivered to any of the few tables before we left). A shame as the space itself is so...

Wow! What a hidden gem under a bunch of overrated touristic places here in Barcelona! We almost thought that we will stay hungry in BCN, got our reservation cancelled in other restaurant and completely accidentally found this one. The waiter found us a table, because it was not too crowded - still can't believe how??? We were served by two waiters, who were so, so friendly and quick, and ordered what appears to be the best I ate in Spain and for a long time in restaurants actually - extraordinary oysters with tomato bread as a starter, and cod on the potato/tuna on the tomato ( those are two dishes, my friend made me taste hers as it was that good!). We took several glasses of white wine - very nice one, but we were that impresses that I can't remember which type of the wine we took. This was orgazmically good - will not say more! We took icecream for a dessert and got two generous cups which I hardly managed to eat but I had to, because it tasted that well.

Super impressed with the food, I forgot to mention the ambient - lovely, relatively quite given the restaurant's position and, again, lovely and super friendly stuff! Not overpriced, and worth every cent. All recommendations for this fantastic place - will come...

I love Barcelona and the restaurants but this place was very disappointing. We did not have a booking but they accommodated us outside. However we felt like they didn't want us to be there. We were rushed to order - it was 9.30pm and that's not late in Barcelona. The staff kept getting the order wrong, bringing us things we didn't order - Salad with fish when tomato salad was ordered. Then did not remove the additional item and charged us for it. We ordered Bacalau and got some other white fish, but we were not told. We ordered sardines and only when we asked for the 3rd time if they were coming, we were told they didn't have any. By 10.30, we were told we needed to leave in 20 minutes. We were the only group out front of the restaurant so we honestly thought they were closing. We paid a very expensive bill and when I made my way to the washroom before leaving, I realised the whole garden was still full of people eating dinner! So they just wanted us to leave. The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. Very expensive for what it was. The service was rude and rushed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are so many great places to eat...
