I had the pleasure of having breakfast at Novela, and it's safe to say that their Eggs Benedict are a true work of culinary art. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a delightful morning.

I tried their classic version with perfectly poached eggs and velvety hollandaise sauce, served atop a toasted English muffin and accompanied by a choice of ham, smoked salmon, or spinach. I’ve been traveling for three months. In every new city, I’m always on the look out for a welcoming vibe, community, and, of course, excellent food. I have pretty high standards and Novella Cafe has it all! I had breakfast nearly every day and the staff was so welcoming to me. I sat by the front door a few times and was so impressed by the way they greeted everyone. From neighborhood regulars to wide-eyed tourists, all customers were met in such a friendly, engaged, and authentic way. THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT! The food always appeared soon after ordering and those delicious breakfasts really started my day out right. They have high quality coffee and the food portions are big. I never left hungry.

If you’re English speaking and worried about language, they got you. English menu and the servers are fluent and bi/tri lingual. The cafe’s design is casual but still chic. It’s a really cozy and comfortable place. The price point was very good.

Food art from a passionate young team, and their passion shows in every plate , or cup of coffee. A tight menu means everything is done so well. A brunch at Novela with a friend is a short story that you will savor.

I had the most beautiful soup at Novela yesterday. Special of the day. An autumn pumpkin puree with aioli, careful dollop of cream, nuts and herbs. But, consider the addition of a few Japanese mushrooms as garnish/surprise. Every bite was an exploration, a journey. All in a bowl of soup on a corner in Eixample, Barcelona

They retained the pizza oven of the previous Rimini Rimini, and have refined and tweaked the pizza recipes. At this time, the oven fires up on Wednesday for pizza. You get 4 or 5 choices, but they are winners.

Do not miss their avocado toast or Eggs Benedict's on any day. Lovely and healthy. Brunch here until 15:30. It is worthy.
