The Restaurant: Very cool design, something you don’t see every day and the concept is very nice. 5/5
The Food: We have been to the restaurant twice and had the salad, crema as entry & entrecot and parilla as main course with patatas al horno. Both times the food was okay.. it is displayed nicely and the taste is average. Not the best meat we ever had. Some pieces of the parilla were heavily undercooked and some overcooked. 4/5
The Service: Both times the restaurant was full and with only 2 waiters they were in a constant stress which lead to a low quality service even though the waiters seem to be nice. It took 20min until the waiter came to write down the first order. The tables were sticky and it was hard to get a hold of them for additional orders etc. 3/5
Price / Quality Balance: Okay.. since the prices are quite acceptable, I would say the balance is okay. We had. 2 corse menu, for 2 people with a bottle of red wine and paid 55€ total.
Improvement Suggestion: I would guess that the reason why the food is only “okay” is probably because the kitchen is also overwhelmed by the large amount of guests. All your “problems” are solvable by either employing extra staff or reducing the amount of tables.
If the waiter can spent more time taking care or his clients, I am 100% sure he can sell more extra beers, wine, coffee etc. so that could bring extra revenue. In addition to that, if the food quality rises, the waiter are not overwhelmed and have time to connect to the guests, the entire experience gains in Quality and the restaurant could easily raise the prices and no one would have a...
Read moreI will return as I would like to try other dishes. This time I went because this was a place with a nice rating, nice pictures of meat, and it was open at 7pm ☺️
I choose a great costeleton and they help me choose it. You go to the butcher part and they cut it for you. They wait it and you pay 10 extra euros for starters and stuff. They charged me eleven instead of the 10€. Nobody explained that to me. I don’t saw the menu as when I entered I said I wanted the choteleton, they explained the process, so I trusted and didn’t look at the menu.
When I chose spinach as one of the side dishes no one explained that one was more expensive. And I don’t like these king of things. If they say it’s 10€ it’s ten, if they should have charged 11€ but they didn’t let me know about that, it’s their fault and they should be responsible for that.
The customer should never have to pay for your incorrect information giving.
The meat lacked seasoning, but they bring the salt to the table so it is ok.
I asked for medium rare and I got medium well.
The bread was not fresh also.
It is a bit expensive but the taste was good and I plan on trying other dishes like the lamb.
Oh and the salad starter it’s really nhe… not awful. But ok And they don’t have beer on...
Read moreJust arrived in Barcelona it being a Saturday and not having any reservation it was hard to find a restaurant. Walking around a bit through the neighbourhood we came across this restaurant. In fact we were attracted by the butchery set-up at the entrance. The restaurant is located at the backside, reached by walking through the butchery and pass the partly open kitchen and without reservation we ended up with a seat on the more or less outside terrace. The interior is quite cool and contemporary and we loved the hanging plants on the outside terrace Welcome was friendly and overall service efficient (Thank you Marc). The menu contains mainly items produced with produce from the Pyrenees and we selected a small salad and soup to start with, followed by a steak tartare and trout tartare with as side dishes thinly cut fries, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed spinach and babaganoush dip, and for dessert we settled for a apple crumble and mato cheese with honey All food was well presented, exquisite in taste and served in a timely manner Definitely a venue for us to return and highly recommended for those after a great Pyrenees style food dining experience with great ambience and at good...
