I’m genuinely surprised this place has a 4.8-star rating, especially considering how high the standard of food is in Barcelona. It makes you wonder if some of the reviews might not reflect the full picture.

Our experience unfortunately missed the mark in several ways. We asked for no tomatoes on the chicken burger, and while the server clearly passed that along to the chef, the burger still came out with tomatoes. When the server questioned the plate before serving it to us, the chef said to serve it anyway. That kind of disregard for basic dietary requests was disappointing.

As for the food itself, the chicken burger was made from three frozen chicken strips placed on a bun — not what you’d expect at this price point. The “Belgium Fries” were also frozen fries.

The crepe with tomato and feta didn’t taste fresh, and the salad we received was visibly old, even containing a browning stem, which was off-putting.

Overall, the quality didn’t match the price, and we left feeling disappointed.
