Had a brilliant evening eating here and having a few drinks. These were my favourite pintxos of the whole trip! Be aware that the place is pretty small and is very popular, we managed to get a spot as we arrived fairly early at about 7:30pm. It is also stated on the table that you can’t stay longer than an hour and a half, which is totally fine and understandable when they’re having to turn people away due to space. All the pintxos I tried were great, and what I appreciated as someone with dietary requirements is that every dish is clearly labelled with what it is - something that had been missing in other places we’d been to. This made the whole experience much easier for me. Last point is that the prices here are great and, again, much more reasonable than other places we’d been. This may be down to being slightly out of the super touristy areas in the centre of town. Definitely worth visiting this place - and if you want to go to multiple places, it is well situated in a street full of similar establishments so you can get more variety.

I like this restaurant very much. First of all, compared with the tapas near the tourist attractions, its price is very affordable, and the checkout method is also transparent and open. The red stick has one price, and the bamboo stick has another price. This is very good for tourists, and there is no need to worry about being cheated. It is similar to a self-service ordering. You write the number of the food you want to eat on a piece of paper, and the guy will help you get it. Not to mention the taste, it is especially delicious and unforgettable. I recommend the squid. The white one in my picture has a very good feeling of being wrapped in a mouthful. The taste of the squid itself is also very good. I will recommend it to people around me.

Loved the place! The idea is grab a seat and and a pencil and paper. Each tapas is labeled With a number. So on the small sheet write which tapa you want to have and the quantity you want to order. Simple. Each tapa is between 1.50euros to 2.20euros. Though that whole area is full of restaurants with this pinchos concept but this one is the best, I have tried a few places. There a plenty of options to choose from- vegetarian, meat and seafood options. The bread was not that hard as in other place. The girls who served us was very sweet and friendly. The ambience is lively. Was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening. Must must try!! You will not be disappointed.

I’m not the type of person to leave negative reviews and in fact this will be my first one…

I have been a customer of pincho J for around 9 years. It was always my favorite place for a pincho and a beer however this weekend we were not advised that there was a policy around the amount of time that you could be there for. After having 1 wine and a beer with a friend we were told that we couldn’t order anything more as the time we had spent there was up - (1.5 hrs). We were about to order food and more drinks but we’re not allowed.

I find it quite shocking that after 9 years of loyalty we were kicked off the table with no prior warning about a time policy.

I doubt anything will change as places in Barcelona will always fill their seats but to be rejected to continue to drink and eat at a place is completely new to me, especially when you have been frequenting there for years.

There are plenty of other pincho bars which do not have this policy and where you can enjoy your drinks and food without rushing.

We were welcomed at another pincho bar with friendly staff without a time policy and moreover the seats we were kicked off weren’t filled for another hour…

Pincho j has good pinchos but I won’t be returning as clearly loyalty to a place means nothing for the...

I initially went to this place and had high reviews about it, but they are so inconsistent with their service therefore my negative review. The female waiter was rude to us, certainly changed my mind about this place. The food is decent, better than a lot of spots in the street to be honest but not good enough to tolerate rudeness. I was a recurring customer, going there every few days as I live close by, and one day out of no where they would not let me sit at a table because it was only for groups of 4. This rule is only applied when the female waitress is working, she seems bitter and just takes it out on the customers. I then see a couple sit there and the lady said nothing to them! She was clearly targeting me for some reason. I explained I am recurring customer and this is the first I hear of this rule, and I was sitting on a table literally 2 days prior with no issues, but no her personal issues took over that day and was still rude. This store lost a loyal and generous paying customer. Get your staff sorted and teach them what a good...
