Ramplax — Restaurant in Barcelona

Very rude staff who complained when one of us ordered an alcohol free beer as they wanted more money. €20 for gin and tonic, €9 for a glass of wine, €3 for 300ml water. We were never shown any prices or menus but very busy place which is not very fancy so we assumed normal Spanish prices. We have been absolutely ripped off, never in our time living here have we been scammed like this

EDIT: I did not chose a €9 glass of wine as the response implies, I asked for a copa de tinto which at most bars means they give you glass of house red, and I explicitly said Rioja if you have it, this would usually be €3-4. Instead they gave me the most expensive glass without asking. After I wrote this review they refunded €10 for the gin and tonic only after my boyfriend went inside to ask the price and they were caught out in their lie when the barman said it cost €8. Cheap and cheerful, interesting décor and good snack.

I intended to eat at Wow but walked into the wrong place - however, the menu looked reasonable so I decided to stay.

There's quite a nice décor inside, with a tree at the back and some eclectic decoration, including two huge keyboard buttons (Enter/Ctrl). Although this is more like a cafe with meals than a restaurant, the informal setting made it feel like I had been welcomed into someone's kitchen... and the inclusion of 80's music videos playing on the TV at the back gave the place a nice ambience.

I ordered pork loin steaks; they appeared with chips and a fried egg, as well as a small tuna salad in the middle. It wasn't fine dining, but filled a hole quite nicely - all washed down with a beer, it sufficed. I'll happily return for another bite if I'm...

Great experience ! We came here to eat randomly and we were surprised to find such a great place. The food was good, especially the pizzas. The mood was pretty great too. It’s an excellent place if you want to watch a football game in a good environment ! The prices were correct too. What marked me was the waiters there, especially a women ( I forgot to ask her name ) who was super friendly and helpful.
