Maur: A Disappointing Sunday Our recent Sunday afternoon visit to Maur left a decidedly mixed impression. While the service, unfortunately, fell short of expectations, the alternative menu options salvaged the experience. The initial encounter with the staff was less than welcoming. Their harried demeanor, evident in their rapid pacing even while taking orders, created an unsettling atmosphere. The service continued to falter with the arrival of the picanha. The presentation of the meat was perplexing, accompanied by curious "rubber balls" of unknown origin. These were served disappointingly cold, with burnt edges, and proved stubbornly resistant to even the sharpest of steak knives. After a second attempt at cooking, the meat was still unacceptably tough. Discouraged, we opted to switch our orders to pizza and burgers, a decision we did not regret. These alternative dishes arrived well-prepared and served, offering a much more enjoyable dining experience. Conclusion: While Maur may not be the ideal destination for meat enthusiasts, it appears to offer a more satisfying culinary experience with its pizza and burger options. This is exactly the kind of place you go when you just want to eat something simple and tasty, sit with friends, enjoy a beer, have a calm conversation, and go home feeling content. Perfect place to visit in Barcelona! While my stay in Barcelona I visited the restaurant twice. The first time I ordered a plate with mix grill meat, and I received a super plate with of all kind of meats (sausage black and white, pork rib, veal (rare cooked as ordered) , rabbit, chicken and lamp, and potatoes grilled.
