Went to dinner with a group of 5 and overal had a lovely evening. There is however a lot of room for improvement on the service side.

We got the tasting menu with wine pairing. With some adjustments for gluten allergies & a vegetarian eater. The dishes were of high quality with a few really having that wow effect. Wine pairings were okay but not great. Most pairings felt rather safe and inoffensive and didn’t match the dishes all that well.

Service was however not what you would expect from a restaurant like this. Waiters would clean up the table right as you were still taking your last bite and look noticeably panicked if the table took too long on a course. The pace felt rushed and out of sync. Many small etiquette mistakes and consistency issues were apparent. The head waitress had a good idea of how things should go but the remaining waiters seemed to lack experience and planning.

Communication between the kitchen and service seemed non existent. The sommelier did not know what kind of dish the vegetarian would get until it was on the table and subsequently was unable to produce a proper wine pairing for their dish.

At the end we wanted to order another glass of the wine which was served with one of the dishes. This however required a new bottle to be opened which clearly was not to the liking of the sommelier. He ended up making a number too many remarks about how we should just get the bottle and order a few more glasses.

Would absolutely go back for the food but the service has to up their game to be on par with what...

We went to Prodigi for their daily lunch menu that cost €30. We had seen the menu online before we decided to reserve; however, when we arrived the waiter informed us the menu online (that we directed to access via QR code at the table and that was the same one we’d seen before) and the menu posted outside the restaurant had changed. Ok. The waiter then told us what had replaced the menu items. We were offered grilled mushrooms seasoned with mole as an amuse bouche and then I had the “winter” vegetable salad with beef cheek (which by the way is still posted on the menu online two months later in mid-summer, in fact the same menu is). I’m a fan of crunchy vegetables and while I tend to eat vegetarian, the beef cheek was extremely tender. For the main dish, it was plated beautifully and yet portion-wise was smaller than the starter. The spiced pear dessert was as expected and from a flavor perspective was the most notable dish of the meal. Note: drinks, not even water or an after lunch coffee / tea, are not included in the lunch menu price. While the kitchen prepared well-presented dishes clearly made with quality ingredients, the service and additional costs for beverages often included in lunch menus distracted from the overall experience. Would consider returning one day as long as the online menu changes as will help to manage...
