When reading reviews online for this restaurant we were almost put off by the negative comments. So glad we still went as I cannot praise this place highly enough!
First of all, our waiter was extremely attentive, warm and treated us like old friends. He gave us recommendations and even spaced out our dishes so they wouldn't get cold without feeling rushed in the slightest. I wanted to reassure people that the comments about staff being rude and aggressive doesn't apply to everyone and this was certainly not our experience. We did see a waiter telling a couple that they would have to order food if they wanted a table instead of just drinks. This was done politely and is understandable for a busy restaurant with limited table space.
Secondly, the atmosphere was fantastic. Inside was cosy, quirky and cavernous with a modern twist. We were lucky enough to sit outside on the square. Such a beautiful setting which felt very authentic and provided an excellent spot to watch the sunset.
Finally, the food was absolutely delicious! It is slightly more expensive than other tapas restaurants, however the portions are substantial and of high quality. We ordered 5 tapas and were full to bursting (sardines with coca bread, patatas bravas, grilled octopus, poached egg with ham and butiffara and risotto with iberico pork shoulder). The risotto was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted.

Read moreWe had a really disappointing experience here. The manager, Juan, was extremely rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. We sat down for drinks and food, initially ordering beers and patatas bravas with the intention of ordering a cheese board and wine afterwards. After placing our first order with a waitress, Juan approached us in a hostile manner and told us the table was for dining only, implying we weren’t ordering enough. We explained our plan, but he continued and made us feel unwelcome.
He also informed us the table was reserved in an hour, something we weren’t told when we sat down. When we later tried to order the wine and cheese board, we were again told we needed to order a "proper plate", even though the cheese board (priced at €16.50) was exactly that.
We would have ordered a dessert and cocktail too, but in the end we felt so unwelcome we thought it was best to just pay and leave as the whole experience had completely put us off.
It was clear they didn’t want us there. We paid €16.50 for bravas and two beers and left. Overpriced, rude, and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy being made to feel like an...
Read moreAbout a week ago we had an improvised lunch with a really good friend visiting from Chile!
She was in this amazing Restaurant very well located, with such a nice human team behind it. Wich a HUGE difference in the whole experience.
We asked for a rosé garnatxa served at the ideal temperature, along with a very high quality burrata!
We were so excited with my friend getting the life updates from each other, that we left this place to go walk around El Born. And I realized when we where far away, that I forgot my favorite hat!!!
Only one week away or more, i just stepped in front of the Restaurant and decided to look if the same waiter was there and take a chance in case they still had my hat… and boom ! Like immediately the waiter looked at me and remembered:” Hey la chilena” he said!
And I was like! Wow u remember!! I remember you of course! I just passed by and stepped in to ask if you have a hat that I forgot!!
And magic!!!! They did!!! :-)
This doesn’t happen often!
I’m so glad it did
The best of all was what Martín (the waiter), told me after giving me back my hat: “… they say if you recover something it stays forever”
I will surely come back & recommend This nice delicious soulful and awesome service place :-)
Thx to Martin & Catalina!! :-)
Agradezco especialmente a Martín & Catalina quienes me entregaron & guardaron mi sombrero!
