We had a really bad experience due to the extremely rude behavior of the restaurant staff. The service provided by the restaurant was exceptionally poor, and the staff showed no interest in communicating with their customers in a respectful manner.
As Nepali citizens on vacation in Barcelona, we were excited to taste our own mother tongue's food with high expectations. To ensure a more professional experience, we even made a table booking in advance. However, the restaurant did not respond to our booking request. When we arrived at the restaurant, the staff treated us poorly, informing us that we would not receive a discount if we sat at a table before 7:00 PM. This was not our fault as we had arrived before the evening opening time, which was not clearly mentioned on their website or in Google's listing. Nor was it mentioned during the booking process. We were under the impression that the restaurant was open.
Moreover, we felt that the restaurant staff treated us with racial bias, assuming that we were there to bargain for lower food prices. They spoke to us disrespectfully, stating that we would not be receiving the 10% discount. We were extremely hungry, having not eaten anything for 12 hours, and we had specifically chosen this restaurant based on its positive reviews and the availability of our homeland cuisine. However, instead of a pleasant experience, we were treated poorly and racially.
Lastly, I would like to offer some advice to the restaurant owner: please treat your guests equally, without any discrimination. Consider that people come to your restaurant to enjoy a meal, not to engage in arguments, unwanted discussions, or to listen to disrespectful remarks. Similarly, please update your website and Google listing to provide accurate information and ensure better communication with...
Read moreWhat a throwback to a typical South Asian restaurant in the middle of stylish Barcelona! They’ve tried hard to keep the space reminiscent of Nepal - complete with Annapurna posters, image of Laxmi and Nepalese pop playing on TV. Even the table decor is so Nepalese, as are the friendly waiters. The food is a hit or miss for somebody who knows a bit about the Himalayan cuisines. Between butter chicken (kids insisted, and was an absolute miss), to Indian Chinese style egg noodles (made with pasta), the clue is the stick with traditional Nepali dishes. But I have to give a double shoutout to the ‘Khaja Thali’ which was a combination of several Nepalese tapas - oh so spicy, flavors and spot on with the textures. I highly recommend this dish for patrons who value the effort that goes into making each of the starters in this thali. It’s not an entree but it’s such a fusion of tapas loving culture with representative Nepalese...
Read moreFirst of all, I love indian/nepalish spices and dishes. And I have been on many many indian and nepalish restaurants and most of them are quite good! This one stands out with all the flavours combined. ive been here 4 times in one month already. all 4 different dishes ive eaten has been really tasty. 3 of them with chicken and one of them with prawns. havent tasted the lamb yet. the chicken has been wow and the prawns had shells which i dont like , so thats a downside in my opinion anyway. the garlic naan bread is also wow. the rice is between 1-10 , an 8. I know an indian restaurant in sweden that has the absolute best rice ive ever tasted so i know how to compare it with this rice over here. the staff is very polite and happy and thats a plus. i havent tried starters or deserts yet but a true vote from what ive experienced in this restaurant will...
