At this restaurant I had a TERRIBLE experience. I ordered a personal pizza and tapa. The pizza was made sloppy with no effort. It fell apart quickly however the taste was okay so I ate some (not all of it). The tapa was also undercooked. When I told the manager about the meal being under cooked (the meat was raw!) she told me she would call the police on me for offending her. I am not one to make a big fuss so I paid the bill and left to avoid further embarrassment. Instead I will tell others of this unfortunate experience. The food came out fast because it was not made well or with effort. The manager was very rude and did not accommodate her clients and instead yelled at me to get out in her restaurant when I politely told her I did not enjoy something. She did not even allow me to take my left over pizza (half of the pizza) in a box to go! Please avoid this restaurant as there are other places to enjoy in the beautiful city close to Sagrada Familia with better service.
UPDATE to Reply It is quite comical for you remember some details I mentioned in my original comment and throw away the others. Surely you are trying to save reputation, however it is not true nor honest! I told my waitress (who was very nice and kind) that I did NOT want raw tapa. She obliged and said she would tell the kitchen. I told you that when it came out it was not correct and you came to my table but never offered a new tapa but threw it away and refused to remove from bill due to your error. I understand if the accommodation was not doable from the kitchen. I would have not ordered and went on with my original order. You threatened me with police and yelled in the restaurant because I didn't like something I did not want. My bill was around 20.45€ however I put down my 20€ bill and left promptly to avoid further discourse. I would not search in my bag for extra change another minute in your business after being threatened with police, spoken to disrespectfully, and told to leave! I'm sure you account count for the change that you did not receive due to your eagerness to make me leave. If my statements are untrue why didn't you call the police when I didn't pay this mysterious amount of money?? It was 45 cents (give or take, not even a dollar as I barely saw and rushed out before coming to tears of the embarrassment!) You did not call because, the bill was paid and no further escalation was needed. The euro was placed on the table (maybe due to the intensity of your energy you may believe it was thrown however that is not the personality I have). No other offers for my tapa was made EVER! This was very upsetting and disheartening as I know many family and friends who visit your restaurant. They will be choosing NOT to buy at your restaurant any more. And rather than trying to rectify this mishap you are once again circling back to argue and berate your customers. I have worked in service for years, please learn from this experience so others do not suffer! I will not be deleting my comment as I am truly displeased and appalled at your managerial skills and willingness to accommodate your paying customers. Any further discourse, I will be reporting the business. If you have any further updates and are willing to come to a different accommodation I would gladly like to work out this unfortunate misunderstanding. Until then, I am hoping the business the best and more training on how to deal with clients in a professional and calm manner.
2nd UPDATE You have edited your comment (without notice to me) to reflect lies several times and I am once again disappointed in your actions. Please feel free to post video! Once again you have chosen a low path in customer service and I can only denote these actions to three causes: general dishonesty, lack of care/competency for job, or flat out racism. And once again if I didn't pay for a substantial amount of the bill (3.45€) why did you not call the police as you threatened to before? Your stories do not align! Please cease your backtracking. This post will stay up as you have...
Read moreFirst visit: I've heard that this place is a delicious place to eat. My wife and I came to test it, and the place was about 60% full. There was a tall and very thin waitress working in the room, looks like Italian. We walked in, had to wait for a few minutes for us to be noticed (the restaurant is relatively small) and be seated.
As a result, we just heard - "sit wherever you want". We chose a table for two, which stood next to other similar tables. The waitress brought the menu, we carefully studied it. It's strange that everybody eats pizza around, but it's not on the menu. "Oh, yeah, it's a separate menu, I'll get it now". And her face - I got the impression that I owe this lady something and she's suffering from being forced to work.
A group of tourists came to the place and needed a large table. In general, it wasn't a problem for us to move, but why did the waitress not take into account this possibility at once? Unprofessional, from my humble opinion.
Ok, we sat down. We are waiting. We are waiting for 5 minutes. We are waiting for another five minutes. Waitress, absolutely with an unfriendly, bored face, lazily shuffled on the floor between tables, not paying attention to the deferred menu or two requests to take the order. After spending more than 15 minutes in the restaurant, when we were not even offered drinks, we had to leave and eat elsewhere - maybe less delicious, but where we were served instantly.
Alas, as I said, we were never able to eat, but I am ready to give this restaurant a second chance if there would be a lot of work done with the staff's training so their attitude would be more friendly and welcoming.
Second visit: After my last review, I received an invitation from the owner to come back and try the food finally. Of course, this time the service of our table was paid special attention and everything was at the highest level, except for a small misunderstanding, but I will inform the owner personally about it.
The pizza was excellent. Frankly, I'm not a big expert in risotto and the type of rice that is used for cooking, but I thought it wasn't Arborio that was used, but some other rice. Anyway, the risotto and pear were also very tasty. The quattro stagioni pizza was very tasty - juicy, dough moderately thin; ate the whole thing, leaving no pieces. Panna-cotta was also very well cooked.
You can see that people are trying to make this place good and are ready to try to change those little mistakes that are typical of any place after a few months of opening. Special thanks to the owners for their prompt response to my previous feedback and...
Read moreThis was without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I made reservations for a party of four at 8:00 because it was very close to where we were staying. At 7:10 I got an angry phone call from the restaurant because we were late for a 7:00 reservation for our party of twelve! As I tried to explain that he was talking to the wrong person but he just continued yelling at me. Though that should have been enough of a red flag that restaurant didn’t have it’s shit together we showed up anyway.
So here’s a list of the ways they showed they were a terrible restaurant—
