Disappointing and upsetting experience. Tried ordering in Spanish and admittedly got tongue tied. Women behind counter told me to speak in English only. Which was abrupt. When we talked between ourselves wondering why she explained it was their responsibility to understand us. Assuming she was referring to all shop keepers. I said we like to try and she said we made it worse trying because they can’t understand us in Spanish and makes it more stressful for them. Again assuming she referred to all Spanish people. Was so upset as trying to learn a new language means getting it wrong sometimes and to be told basically not to bother just made me feel like giving up. I threw my ice cream in the bin as decided it was disgusting. Probably was fine but emotionally I hated it. When I calmed down and reflected I wonder if the women first language wasn’t Spanish either. But rather then saying that or simply “I find English easier” which she was still clearly learning as it was far from conversational, I was shamed for attempting to speak a language of the country I was in. It’s a universal given we help people out who are attempting to speak the language not shame them for trying. Shame on you Wali Gelats. Tip for anyone learning Spanish. Don’t bother going...
Read moreI noticed Wali while I was craving for something sweet on a hot day. I am glad that I have entered. I love frozen yogurt, but the one I have eaten there, escalated my expectations to higher grounds. Now I know what a really natural frozen yogurt tastes like. Magnificent. Both the yogurt, its toppings (I preferred mango and pineapple) and the sauce (again mango) were fresh and scrumptious.
Although the shop is small in size, it has lots of customers. As the service is fast and people prefer to grab and go, it is not annoyingly crowded. The crew of the shop are friendly, and I see all the customers were smiling. I left the place with a cold and amazing taste in my mouth and a warm and satisfied feeling...
Read moreWe came to Wali, thinking it was one of the most Magnificent frozen yogurt stores (LlaoLlao) we noticed the display of the shop was pretty much the same, as Llao Llao was there before. But NO. The stuff was really unwelcoming. The prices were rised. The frozen yogurt was sweet, not as real yogurt and the sauces are not what they used to be, and even the flavor is not the one written (ex: red berries fruit was only strawberry). The amount of toppings are minimum. We'll definetely never come back. WALI DECEPTION. DON'T FOOL US, YOU ARE NOT LLAO LLAO. CHANGE THE...
