Hotel NH Barcelona Centro — Hotel in Barcelona

The hotel is in a fantastic location. It's on a quiet street within easy walking distance of many sights. There are some morning noises but those happen in every city. The staff are very friendly. We had a very nice large room on the 6th floor on the front side of the hotel. The view from the balcony is not amazing with mostly just the roofs of other buildings but there is a cathedral to see. The bathroom was decent with a shower wall; jets, rain and handheld wand. The shower was missing the knob to control the water temperature. The bed was comfortable. Some of the furniture is getting a little worn but I didn't have a problem sitting on any of it. There was a kettle and Nespresso machine. We also got the breakfast which was well worth it. There was an excellent selection of meats, cheese, breads and cakes. Omelettes and other cooked to order eggs were available (although, depending how busy it is it might take some time). There were 4 four or five different types of milk available including lactose free. Finding an "American" style breakfast outside the hotel would not be easy. There didn't seem to be air conditioning just more or less heat. Definitely a great place to stay...

Don't look at the star rating. I've stayed in 4* hotels which were worse than this. The room is really clean, comfortably, well appointed and up to date (safe, kettle, tea and coffee, mini bar, hair dryer, balcony, robes, accessible sockets). There's a TV (didn't use, Barcelona is far too interesting to waste time on TV) and the bed is comfortable; plenty of hot water in the modern bathroom with soaps and even hand cream. The staff were super friendly and helpful - we visited for my wife's birthday and they welcomed us with cake. Lastly the location is superb, really easy to get around. Fantastic experience. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to Barcelona and we could not have been happier with the service we received. The location is great, the rooms lovely, and the staff very friendly and helpful. In particular we would like to give a special mention to Andrea on the front desk.
