Bar Zarzosa — Restaurant in Benidorm

Nobody in when we got there, female staff member rude shouting at us in Spanish, we ordered a drink and she slammed the glasses on the counter pored them and shouted for us to collect! We ordered our food, free mushrooms were the best thing, house red wine was nice, meatballs were factory made perfect balls, served with peas and carrots in what reminded me of soup, not nice, over cooked prawns just swimming in oil, croquettes gloopy, bread couple of days old and we didn’t get served our patatas bravas- mentioned it when we got the bill and she came and counted the plates on our table as she didn’t believe us. Another table asked her to turn the music down (it was quite loud) she said no 🤣🤣 she was ramming chairs and banging food down on tables it was obvious the customers were an inconvenience....

So glad we found this place! Arrived in Benidorm and while waiting to check in at the hotel we googled some vegetarian tapas places, we loved the sound of their menu so went straight away.

It was amazing! Really good value (£22 for 2 Potatas Bravas, Mushroom Croquettes, Tempura Vegetables, glass of Sangria and a glass of Tinto Verano.

Staff were really nice, the food was really fresh and just super tasty.

Siempre que vamos a Benidorm pasamos por allí, pero creo que ya no volveré porque pase un rato muy desagradable he incómoda.Había un jeta paseándose sin mascarilla por el bar,lleno de gente, pidiendo en barra y nadie le llamó la atención.la mascarilla la llevaba en el brazo. Nos sentaron cerca de barra, le tuve que decir al hombre que tenía que llevar mascarilla, porque estaba casi encima de nuestra mesa mientras comíamos. Me dijo que la gente de las mesas tampoco llevaban, le dije ellos están sentados y encima esta usted pegado a mi marido mientras el está cenando. Nadie de los camareros le dijo nada, hicieron la vista gorda. Después el chico de barra al que este le pidió, paso por mi mesa y dijo que tenía toda la razón, tenía que llevarla puesta. Porque no le dijo el las cosas..? Por educación a mi pareja espere a un entrecot que pidimos, porque si no es por el, me hubiese ido en ese mismo momento. Yo no tengo necesidad de estar discutiendo con otro cliente. Como no estoy acostumbrada a estas situaciones, me tuve que salir coger aire y tranquilizarme A nadie le gusta la mascarilla, pero por el bien de todos, tenemos que hacer las cosas bien, no ir de chulos y maleducados.No me gusta que nadie esté encima de nosotros pidiendo en barra y sin mascarilla.
