Pizzería AVANTI — Restaurant in Benidorm

I would not recommend this restaurant. Service was non existent. We had to keep going in and ask for service. The waiters practically ignored us. After a long wait we got our main course. Thank God we didn’t have a starter we would have been there all night!! There were no napkins. Asked for parmisan and black pepper waiter supplied parmisan but no pepper. Had to go back in to ask again he came back out and slammed pepper down on table. No one came and asked how the meal was or came to offer drinks. I wanted a white wine refill but not a chance. They weren’t even that busy. It was a disappointing experience. We are usually very good tippers but not this time so they dipped out. Shame really because the food wasn’t bad although the mixed seafood buttalini did not have the seafood in that was on the menu. So I decided to grab a quick pizza from here to take away. I wish I hadn’t bothered.

Ordered my pizza (eventually) and a glass of wine to drink while I waited. The wine took 15 minutes - and two reminders - to come and was undrinkable when it did. So I got a rose instead which was still gross but slightly less vinegary tasting. And arrived 30 seconds before the take away pizza did.

Asked to pay six times as I wanted to settle up before my food came. Eventually got them to take my money AFTER my food arrived while it sat there going cold.

Visited the loo while waiting. Grubby. No toilet paper. Toilet seat in ladies was broken.

The food itself was just ok. Thrown together, basically. Burnt pepperoni. For half the price it might have been reasonable value.

Seriously, how does it take longer to pour a glass of wine than it does to cook a pizza?! If they were packed I’d understand more but they were at most a quarter full.
