Tiki Town Beach Club — Restaurant in Benidorm

We sat at the table, and the staff member was attending to us for the entire visit. We didn’t want to take anything personally, but his reactions to what we were ordering and some triggering comments made us wonder if he had a problem with us. We tried to remain empathetic the whole time.

First, he made a sarcastic comment about an order: one of us said, “I’d like a Frozen Daiquiri” (reading it from the menu), and he replied, “All Daiquiris are frozen,” assuming we should have known that.

Then, we noticed his facial expressions every time we reminded him about the orders we had already made but hadn’t received yet. Later, he asked straight away for the total bill to be paid, which we assumed is normal for this bar, and we didn’t mind paying after receiving our orders. However, when one of us said, “With card, please,” he made an unintelligible comment that came across as rude due to his body language.

Another incident was when he placed a plate of food on the table, almost throwing it in front of us. We started feeling a bit uncomfortable. When we made another order, he seemed visibly annoyed, and when he brought it, he accidentally hit one of our group members in the face with a glass. While he apologized and even touched him on the back of the neck in what seemed like a comforting gesture, it felt inappropriate.

The final straw was waiting 30 minutes just to get the change for the last cocktail.

We loved this place before, but after this experience, we’ll be avoiding it...

A great bar as near to the levant beach as you can get ! , with great views of the sand & sea . This bar has a relaxed & informal vibe & upon our visit the music policy was a mix of Latin & euro pop + a bit of nineties Brit pop & played @ a level of volume not overly loud . They also have live singer's on around midday & they all add to a great atmosphere to the venue . The prices here are reasonable & the service is polite & prompt , with minimal waiting times for your order . They have a good range of drinks on offer & various drinks packages which are very good value & our particular favourite is the coffee & brandy duo , which is priced @ under 7 euros for two cups of coffee & two glasses of the house brandy & it's an Ideal mid afternoon drink to have whilst soaking up the sun on the Tiki's terrace ! . This establishment caters for all ages , and I mean from 5 to 105 . Situated on the beach front on the new part of Benidorm this is the ideal spot and location in striking distance to everywhere you want to go . We had just finished doing a bit of family shopping in the town centre ; which is under redevelopment , and we were in need of been fed and watered . We were only going to stop for a drink and snack but ended up staying half the afternoon . During that time we watched football the Grand National witnessed two Hen parties and a Stag do and joined in a Karaoke. Plenty of drinks deals available to cater for every taste and not to expensive either . Not a far walk from the Old part of Benidorm and well within bus routes and local taxis .
