Tony Roma's — Restaurant in Benidorm

We arrived when the restaurant was nearly empty, we asked for a table different to the one shown and the waiter accepted and said it was no problem. As soon as the manager (blue shirt, glasses) saw this he swore and was obviously upset with us rather than his staff.

The food was on the whole poor, we thought we were getting something higher standard than the Benidorm average which is poorly cooked cheap steak. It was the same as the Benidorm average, sadly. I asked for the New York strip medium rare and it arrived somewhere between rare and blue and 60% inedible thanks to the gristle and uncooked parts. The rest of the group’s food was mediocre at best.

Waiters seemed generally uninterested in their job or were understaffed, took two attempts to get our bill and we ended up leaving the money on the table as we didn’t want to wait any longer.

Avoid this place if you think it’s better than the cheap places nearby, it’s not. It’s the same, just with a slightly worse atmosphere and slightly higher prices.

This place was OK we had there famouse Ribs and chips and Colslaw the portion size wasn't very good the Colslaw was literally a fork full and the chips less then a handful the Ribs although tastee wasn't as good as I expected them to be like literally not much sauce on them at all and after reading reviews giving it such good rating I was looking forward to dinner and when we arrived was told it would be an half hour wait for food in actual fact it was 70 minute wait for food people who was there in a big groups of 5 or more was waiting nearly 2 hours and some people who came after us was served there starter's and left before they had their mains which annoyed many people who had waited so long for just there main. So if you want mediocre food and waiting times of 1 hour plus and to leave still feeling hungry and not fully satisfied then visit. On the other hand Cannot fault staff they were polite and rushed of their feet it was just the waiting time and portion size and Fanta orange that tasted like cheap orangeade that let it...

We were seated promptly, and there were plenty of tables available at the time we arrived. Approximately 7pm. We placed our order and waited 20 minutes for our food.

In that time, the restaurant began to fill up. As mentioned, our food arrived in good time. However, once busy, people were waiting 30-45 minutes for their food.

The food itself was okay, it was nice but nothing special. I ordered the BBQ grilled chicken, and my partner ordered the Empire State Burger with onion rings to share. Followed by carot cake and cookie skillet for dessert.

The price for Benidorm is on the higher side. You would expect bigger portions for it. The quality almost makes up for it.

The restaurant it's self presented well. However, there lacked any real atmosphere. The level of service was non exsitant. There was minimal interaction, which left you with the feeling of them trying to get you out as fast as possible.

Overall, it wasn't bad. It left a lot to be desired, and i would maybe come again but...
