La Brasserie de Elene — Restaurant in Bilbao

Just ate today in this restaurant and ordered their daily menu and here’s what I have to say:

Restaurant: clean and looks fancy

Food: the pasta was good, the steak was NOT tender. They shouldn’t be using and serving this kind of meat in their restaurant. My steak at home is even better and a lot more tender. The dessert (cheesecake) well to be honest, i even prefer the cheesecake in Mcdonalds 😂 theirs is not good.

Service: the waitresses were very busy and maybe the servicing is not that organised. A waitress approached our table and left rightaway while my fiancé was still saying something.

Another thing, the restaurant looks so fancy that I noticed how the staff’s clothings are not appropriate to the interior of the restaurant. They were wearing light blue jeans which is probably more appropriate to a casual restaurant. But that’s not of any problem.

AND, it feels awkward to be eating while a waitress is putting table mantle on the table next to you. First time to eat out and experience that. Haha. Would suggest that the restaurant better not use mantle anymore. It’s also taking more time of the crew.

Bottomline: The only thing impressive is the interior of the restaurant. The owner should focus more on the taste of the food and the service so it will be as good...

TROZOS DE CRISTAL/ CERÁMICA EN EL POSTRE 😡

Lamentablemente tuve una mala experiencia de las que podría ser una de las experiencia más peligrosas al visitar un restaurante...

nos dejamos llevar por la "buena pinta de los platos" los cuales no me quejo porque para ser menú de día merece lo que pagas. lo casi negativo que llegas al restaurante con la hora justa del tiempo de comida de tu trabajo y el servicio es muyyyyy lento... Todo esto es comprensible, lo que no es ADMISIBLE es el RIESGO que he tenido al ingerir un postre de YOGUR con trozos de lo que aparentemente era una taza o un plato roto (Era blanco y varios cachos triturados de todos los tamaños). Procedí a decirle a la camarera y sin ningún tipo de explicación ni disculpas retiró de la mesa el cuenco del postre y se llevó los platos. Nos quedamos sorprendidos y me acerque a la barra a pagar porque nunca se acercaban a la mesa y nuevamente le comenté a la camarera:

HAS COMENTADO EN COCINA QUE MI POSTRE TENIA CRISTALES ? Y acto seguido sin pedir disculpas ni ofrecer ningún tipo de compensación o ya no tanto eso sin dar explicaciones ni nada.. simplemente me acercó el datáfono, cobró como que si tal en lugar de haberles hecho el favor de avisarles más bien era mi culpa por haber encontrado los cristales y preguntale delante de otra camarera.

EVIDENTEMENTE NO REGRESARÉ. DA IGUAL EL TRATO PORQUE LOS CAMAREROS AL FINAL VAN Y VIENEN. SINO PORQUE HAN PUESTO MI SALUD EN PELIGRO. Tenía que haber pedido una hoja de reclamación para que les hagan una inspección o averigüen como se trabaja aquí y que les ayude a tener más precaución al momento del servicio. Me fui por las prisas, pero ahora lo pienso y la historia...

The food and the restaurant itself were nice. Unfortunately the service wasn't up to the same standard. Lots of details missing and it seemed like young lady serving us would have rathered that we were not there. I wouldn't return based on the service alone. Customers deserve a more pleasant service when deciding to spend their hard earned money in these places. I have been to really cheap bars in Bilabo where the service has been outstanding. There is no excuse for a poor attitude to customers in a relatively expensive...
