Lepanto — Restaurant in Bilbao

I ordered one pintxo and while serving it to me, the barman knocked another pintxo off the plate and had to throw it away. When I asked for the bill and specified that I had had one pintxo, the barmen whispered to each other before presenting it to me. I paid and then checked the bill afterwards only to notice that they had charged me for two pintxos - the one I ate and the one they threw away. When I pointed this out, they gave me my money back immediately like they had expected this to happen but had hoped that I wouldn't notice. The impressively low price for the fancy food made it worth it. The service was so bad it was comical. Every time the server left the table he either grabbed our plates while we weren’t finished, or left most of the dirty plates on the table. Me and my partner were clearly sharing the food, but each time he’d serve one fork, one knife one napkin. I left wondering if he left the dirty plates (with napkins scrunched on top) on the table for me to use instead of giving me an extra sharing plate. We ordered a menu. It was fine. Really fine. It was crowded inside and outside and the guy who was at the bar ask me about the order. And after awaiting him to give me the order and being ready to pay him, I, suddenly, was spotting him somewhere outside searching for the place I might take. Since I was inside, he was somehow surprised to see me there and asked me kindly to go to my table and to pay him afterwards. All this in conditions that people around me was paying him immediately after dispatching the command. I don't know. It was the order I took (a good salad, I have to admit), or it was the relaxed atmosphere. I can't answer, but it was unexpectedly well....
