Restaurante Flanigan — Restaurant in Calvià

I made a reservation in FEBRUARY for my trip in June to Mallorca. After seeing the beautiful view, I was so excited to dine at Flanigan. I got an email in February confirming my reservation and another email the week of reminding me of my reservation. The day of, I called in to see if we could go in thirty minutes earlier (as we drove an hour to be there and got there early) and they claimed to not have the reservation at all. The woman who answered the phone was insanely rude and kept insisting that we had not reserved even though I read the email confirmation to her verbatim multiple times. After reading it VERBATIM she continued insisting that it was not a confirmation. Despite her rudeness, I asked multiple times if there was a solution they could offer and she continued repeating that we had not reserved (as if that continued to be relevant and despite the fact that she was in the wrong). She ended the call by telling us that we had not reserved and that the restaurant was full so there was nothing she could do. Did not even attempt to find a solution and told us that the person who is usually in charge of reservations was "busy at the moment". They did not even apologize once and we had already made the one hour drive to Palma as we were staying elsewhere. We ended up going to Moli de Sal instead and loved it. Highly recommend finding...

Terrible service!!! The waitress that wear navy blue shirts are all rude!! They saw that we were foreigner, tourists and asked us to wait for the table for 20 minutes, even though the restaurant was empty with lots of free tables, after that he started laughing with another waitress about our situation! THAT MADE US FEEL UNWELCOME! I never have felt so disrespected! We finally got seated outside by the boats after a long time, as we got seated the waitress didn’t come to the table, I had to go and chase after her and ask for the menu, the same waitress that gave me the menu was rude and said I had to order every thing together starters, main curse and desert all at once! Then she went away! We got served by another waitress that was kind and gentle, a blond, young, tall women and a blond, young man (both with white shirts). Along with the terrible experience I had I didn’t expect the food to be so good!! It’s a pity the restaurant has such a bad service! To top it off at the end I asked another man with a navy blue shirt in English where I could pay for the parking and he simply walked away and have his back to me while I was speaking!! SO RUDE!! From the instant I walked into this place, the “hostess” was obnoxious. It was fine when she demanded to know if we had a reservation (which we did), but not fine when she offered curt and disinterested answers about the food on offer. Then, to help make my experience worse, after another service staff person offered me more bread, which I wanted, he simply failed to deliver any. Funny thing was he showed up after we finished the meal, to bus the table. He had no clue about the bread. Complete disconnect. In a room with 7 occupied tables, with maybe 22 customers. The expensive salt baked sea bass was delivered to me cold. The €12 grilled vegetables were a greasy mess of slopped-in-a-pan tasteless cuttings that looked like the sort of thing found in the frozen veggie section of a grocery store. Their €24 apple tart a la mode was ok. Unfortunately, the catering hall style of pre-loading ice cream resulted in vanilla ice cream with chunks of ice. Oops. This place is a dump. Overpriced.
