Overall, just an okay experience for the price range they are charging.
We had the spicy potatoes, baby razor clams, duck carpaccio, and octopus leg. The duck carpaccio was supposed to have crispy chicken skin on it, but the waitress did not mention that they were out of it. When the busser brought it, he mentioned chicken skin, even though there was none. We asked our waitress about it, and she offered to switch it to something else, to which we said it was fine to keep. She then offered to take $4 off the dish.
When the bill came, they initially forgot to put in the carpaccio order. She took the bill back, and didn’t mention why. When it came back, the bill was higher, and we didn’t know why, and she insisted that nothing had changed. We then saw that the price increased by the duck carpaccio, but now with only a $3 discount.
Now, I don’t care about the $1 difference, but not keeping your initial word for the discount is another story.
For the price that they were charging, the taste of the food was just okay. Service could have been a bit better - they clear the plates multiple times between entrees which is nice, but end up kind of slamming the new clean plates on the table when you receive them.

Read moreThe place is nicely decorated, the service was good, the visual presentation of the dishes was also good. The problem is that the food itself left a lot to desire. 1. Bravas: not good at all. Wrong type of potato wrongly cooked. Sauce not memorable. I would expect much more from a restaurant-grade bravas than this, especially a higher-end restaurant like this one that charges fine-dining cuisine prices. 2. Canelloni: it was good, maybe the only dish that more or less met expectations. 3. Both the maigret and the sweetbread (lletons) had an off-taste of a chemical nature, which I attribute to the choice of combustion materials in their charcoal cooking system or bad combustion residue. They should look into this, as it spoils the taste. 4. The wan-tun themselves were ok, but the dipping sauce was really unblananced and ultimately unpallatable and uninspired. All in all it ended up being what I call an instagram experience, where the food is incredibly photogenic but does not pass the taste test. Considering the quite high prices, I cannot in good faith recommend visiting, especially with much better options locally for...
