AWFUL!!! We had a terrible experience at this place. We walked in clearly saying we wanted to eat tapas, and they sat us and took our drink order without any issue. After bringing us menus, I simply asked how the set menu worked, and the waiter oddly replied that "the tapas are free" — which left me confused. When I mentioned I eat everything except meat but do eat cured meat, he pulled an inappropriate and judgmental face, which was already off-putting.
He then ignored us for about 10 minutes, came back briefly, and when I asked about the main dishes, he left again without answering. It was all very strange. I was hungry and just wanted to order some proper food, but he seemed only interested in pushing these "free tapas" which, by the way, was only one small tapa for two people — hardly enough for a meal.
To make things worse, he later brought us a plate with pork and chips, completely disregarding what I had told him. When I pointed out that we don't eat meat and wouldn't be eating it, he complained, took it away, and disappeared again. Rude, impatient, and dismissive throughout.
In the end, we just paid for the drinks and left hungry and frustrated. Avoid this place...
Read moreThis restaurant was right next to the popular one with a long wait, so my husband and I just ended up going there. The outdoor tables were all taken, but inside was literally empty except for four people at the bar. The person at the entrance showed us to a spot at the bar, but there was only one empty chair. We asked the guy if there was another bar chair available because there were two of us, and he just told us to sit down at the bar and wait. There were a lot of empty tables inside, but he didn't seem to care about us and just smirked in a rude way. Two guys at the bar smiled at us in an obnoxious way and said something in unclear English that we couldn't quite catch. We didn't feel like being there anymore, so we took off. I thought it might be discriminatory because we're not from here and don't know Spanish. It is an unpleasant memory of Spain that I don't want people to experience again in such a popular...
Read moreWithout doubt the best “free tapas” I had in Granada. Stumbled across the place accidentally while I was just looking for any bar to have a quick beer while I waited for someone and I received the most delicious meatballs with my drink. Over the following 24 hours I worked my way through the list of bars that had been recommended to me or I’d found on food blogs (which were all good, it’s hard to find a bad bar in Granada!) but I was constantly comparing the tapas I received to the meatballs I had at La Neuva Bodega. So I returned there on my second night, intrigued to see what other tapas I’d receive. With my first drink was oxtail and potato and my second drink was a Spanish tortilla. Both were absolutely superb and my partner and I concluded that this was the best bar tapas we’d eaten in Granada,...
