A pretty humiliating experience. First and last time we visit ... We were two people and it was about 10:30 pm. It was pretty crowded, so we had to get in line. While we were waiting, we had a look at the menu. 10 euro for plain patatas bravas and 14-18 for other simple tapas, available in any other restaurant in town for 50-75% less. Another tourist trap, then, but we were hungry. About 5 minutes later, two tables became free, next to each other, so they were impossible to miss. The "encargado" seated the two people before us, and a minute later he brought us to what was definitely the worst table in the venue: located inside, isolated, next to the cash register and smack in the middle between said register and the station with the napkins, silverware, etc. The staff was zooming constantly past that table. We pointed out that there was another perfectly acceptable table free outside. They told us we'd have to wait for 20 minutes if we wanted another table. At that point we decided to leave. One, if I pay 10 euros for a dish consisting of plain fried potatoes topped with a spicy tomato sauce, I expect a cool sunset and a seaview to go with it. Two, I can't help but wonder if we've had better service if one of us wasn't black. Consider...
Read moreToday my daughter and I went for lunch. I am vegetarian and my daughter is 11 years old. We entered at 1.30pm and the restaurant had a lot of spare tables. We had travelled from San Antonio and were very hungry, however, there was nothing either of us could eat. I asked the waitress could she recommend something for my daughter. Reply no children’s meals. We ordered another drink, and some bread for my hungry daughter. The bread came two bread buns it was with a garlic sauce. My daughter said please can I have some butter. The bill came the four drinks yes okay! The bread and garlic 2,50 euro and the small pot of butter 3,50 euro. I questioned how the butter could be more expensive than the bread and I was very rudely told ‘ do you want it for free’ ! The manager then came over asked the problem and told me to get out! I have never been so insulted! The money they billed would of been a tip so I had lost nothing. I simply asked a question. I am far from arguing over 3.50 euros, however, living in the Middle East for over 15 years and receiving excellent customer service, I could not believe that a restaurant manager and staff would speak to a lady and child this way. Please do not go to this place, the Staff...
