No need to delete this post - posting again, as it doesn’t say anything against the guidelines! You cannot go completely wrong with that restaurant. Plenty to choose from, however it’s rather pricey and the portions are smaller compared to other restaurants. For this kind of ‘more posh’ restaurant you would assume that bread or some olives are provided free of charge, it’s quite the opposite as it has to be purchased additionally (also so far the most expensive add-on we came across, very difficult to share too as you get exactly one piece of bread). We ordered traditional potatoes, Mirador Fish & Chips and a tuna dish. The Fish & Chips were absolutely dry and didn’t really taste like anything I have ever eaten before, the fish was very bendy and had a gummy-like texture. Service was fast, friendly & the food was promptly delivered, the atmosphere is inviting and seating is very comfortable, you can also opt for a sea view, however this wasn’t offered to us, likely due to the uneven number of our small group, a bit of a shame as plenty of seating was available. To sum it up, it wasn’t by far the best place we have been however the most expensive, which I personally don’t mind as long as you can deliver, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. There is a small restaurant (1min from Mirador) with outside seating. They had amazing dishes to share and lots of fish options too, less pricey and very traditional & friendly. We paid half & even had coffee.

Rispondo "quattro" e lui mi invita a seguirlo. A quel punto mi alzo e vado dal collega all’ingresso.

What a beautiful little find. I was searching online for a sunset restaurant and came across this listing. I called to make a reservation - Nicole booked us in and made sure we had a sunset table reserved. The views were outstanding. We arrived just in time for sunset - so beautiful. We received a warm welcome - both of our waiters were kind and attentive. We ordered the mushroom starter along with the majorero cheese, to follow we had the paella and salmon supreme. We ordered far too much food but it was so worth it. I wanted a glass of wine and our waiter complimented my dish with a white wine from Tenerife (by the look of his face, it was his favourite) - again it was really lovely. I also enjoyed a pornstar martini, if I wasn’t so full up I could quite easily have had a few more of these. I cannot express how much we enjoyed this meal, most definitely with a visit. Thank you for looking after us.

Passed here a few times and had a drink back in May, spoke to the owner a lovely lady, I think her name was Nichola she is English. We came back to El Cotillo in September and on a recommendation from someone we thought we would try, the sunset was amazing! Sadly that's where the positives end. We were seated promptly by a waiter and ordered drinks, wine and beer lovely and fairly priced. We ordered garlic bread to share and I ordered the Mirador fish and chips and my partner the Thai chicken curry as recommended by the waiter. We waited quite a while but in fairness they were busy. The garlic bread came it didn't taste of any garlic. The meals came I had two tiny pieces of fish in batter and I mean tiny, thin fries which were cold and a bit of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes and a sauce that I didn't recognise, definitely not tarta or garlic! My partners Thai curry had tiny bits of chicken alot of gristly bits with vegetables it had no flavour nothing like a thai curry very bland, extra fries which were also cold. These meals were more expensive €18 and €15 than any of the other restaurants we've been to, I paid less for steak! elsewhere which was delicious. I also had a glass of sangria which was the most expensive one in El cotillo! €7.50! Nobody asked if our meals were ok. I asked for the bill he took our plates seen we left alot of food but said nothing, when we paid I said it was awful and cold! His answer was sorry you didn't like it! Very bad attitude. Spend your money elsewhere there are far better places with delicious food and much more reasonable and better service. I also emailed them before posting this but no reply,...

Sadly, after a beautiful introduction to the island with a stunning sunset, good starters and a couple of drinks we ordered a seafood paella at £17 per person. I’ve never sent a meal back but it was so tough and dry I couldn’t even eat it. I find complaining about a meal really embarrassing but called the manageress over and showed her how dry the meal was and not pleasant. I was then explained to.. how ‘the paella chef was off that night’ but that’s how ‘they cook it on the island!’ Mortified, I sent it back having put approx 1/4 of our plates. We felt like crap, this being our first big night out of our holiday and a special treat at someone’s recommendation. We called for the bill and questioned the cost of the whole paella when we’d been encouraged to send it back! Only to be told ‘that’s the cost’. We were too embarrassed to create a scene infront of other dinners and paid £35 for the paella we didn’t eat! £64 in total and I left in tears at the way I was meant to feel. So disappointing when the location and service till that point had been excellent. Ten days left and I shall NOT be...
