Piedra Alta restaurante — Restaurant in La Oliva

We visited el cotillo in May and walked past the back of this restaurant multiple times but was uninspired by the menu and it just didn't look nice.

We are back here now and walked past the front this time, not realising it was the same one. They have menus at the front on chalkboards and we both found something we would like. It was only on entering and being taken to the outdoor seating area that we realised where we were! This restaurant is so lovely inside, stunning views. It was quite windy so we relocated inside to eat.

We had the pork ribs and lamb shoulder and both meals were divine and filling.

The waiter/owner was so lovely and chatty and told us they had taken it over two weeks ago, hence the new menu. They are planning to redo the outside ones as we said we wouldn't have even come in because of them. He is doing a whole new menu and we can't wait to come back in a few months to try it!

No no no , in fact fish like everywhere fresh 🫢 however potatoes (3 potatoes on plate) which is most loving food for veg people have the most disgusting sos I mean disgusting!!!, being/visiting fuerteventura for 20 years this is the most disgusting sos 😤 green/red Absolutely not eatable. Very bad experience. The food was nothing crazy, but the worst is that my girlfriend is intolerant to gluten and we informed the waiter about it.

They have gluten free option on the menu.

After eating she felt really bad and while telling the waiter he told us that he forgot that the fries are fried in the same oil as foods containing gluten.

This is unacceptable as people can really feel bad!!

After telling the waiter about it, nothing was even taken off the bill and we had to pay for full service.
