I went with 3 friends. I liked the decor but there was a funny smell that bothered me the whole time. I found one item on the menu that didn't have ingredients I am either allergic to or dislike. My friends ordered multiple starters and they were happy with their food and frozen margaritas. I asked if I could get nachos only with cheese and sour cream. The waitress said it wasn't possible because the sour cream was already mixed with avocado. She didn't pay any attention to the fact that while the others were sharing all the starters, I didn't touch the food. Finally I managed to order a quesadilla with chicken and cheese that arrived when the others had finished eating. It was covered in soggy, funky smelling onions that looked, smelled and tasted like they had been sitting on the counter for two days. There was more cheese than chicken in the quesadillas and even though I scraped off the onions, the taste was still there. I was quite disappointed as I normally love Mexican food. I have the feeling nothing was made from scratch. I don't need to go there again.
Ther only food on the menu other than the starters were a few types of tacos which all had multiple ingredients I'm allergic to. We didn't order...
Read moreWhile on the way to another restaurant, we came across a Mexican which looked promising, however there was construction work going on next door so we didn't end up staying. Having triggered a Mexican food craving though, I found this place and could not have ended up happier. The venue is not too big and it only has 2 tables outside on a very busy street, which makes them very uncomfortable, so booking inside might be a good idea. However once we were seated and ordered food, we could not have been bothered by a car running over us. The nachos were the least impressive dish, but I cannot recommend the fried cheese and sweetcorn fingers enough, they were mind blowing. The tequeños with guayaba jam are not to be underestimated either. And while on the topic of tequeños, the dessert ones filled with Nutella and Oreo are an absolute must, and I say are because even though they're sold by units, ordering any less than 2 is an...
Read moreYesterday there was some confusion about our drink order, so I asked for it to be corrected. We instead just got more drinks that we had to pay for. By the time the rest of my party had almost finished their food, mine still hadn't arrived. I noticed a plate on the counter, so went up to the kitchen to ask if it was mine. The lad with glasses who was tending to our table was sat in the kitchen and just nodded in response to my question. The food was a bit soggy by this point so it must have been there a while. I got the feeling that this was some sort of petty revenge because of the drink thing. I'm still giving four stars because I love this place and every other time here the service has...
