Astoria Tavern — Restaurant in Málaga

We stopped by Astoria Taberna for a quick aperitif before our dinner at Pampa Grill, as we are big fans of the Lola Group. Since we had a hearty portion of meat waiting for us later, we only tried two tapas: the Bravas and the Bacalao Croquetas with truffle. Both dishes were okay but didn’t blow us away—flavor-wise, they could have been a bit bolder, as they leaned towards being a bit bland.

That said, we’re confident that the other tapas would make up for it, and the new interior design is truly a feast for the eyes. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy.

We’ll definitely be back to try more...

Nicely decorated place with a Hollywood film theme but truly pathetic cocktails. Where else have you seen a Sex on the Beach served in a Martini glass ( it's the one on the right in the photo)? You probably got as much liquid as a shot of espresso, the rest was crushed ice, all for a princely sum of 10Euros. Yes, the other cocktail wasn't much cop either. Kitchen was not working so the menu was limited to cold cuts, therefore we only ordered hams and cheese. At some point, bread was over and we didn’t know until later. Also, only one of the waiters was taking orders while the other 6 were standing waiting for her to send instructions.
