Dining at UNICA was an experience that was nothing short of a gastronomic delight.
To begin, the presentation of the focaccia was simply stunning, served on an elegant skate plate that immediately set the tone for the meal. The salmon with a touch of lime focaccia itself was a harmonious blend of softness and crispiness, with a delightful medley of toppings that danced on the taste buds.
The Quinoa salad was a refreshing interlude, combining the nutty flavors of quinoa with the sweet surprise of watermelon cubes and edamame. It was a delightful journey of textures and tastes, perfectly balancing cold and warm elements on the plate.
The main course, a spicy pizza, was a symphony of flavors. The crust was exceptionally nice, providing the perfect canvas for a harmonious blend of ingredients that tantalized the palate. Each bite was an explosion of taste that left me craving for more.
The grand finale was the tiramisù, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The texture was absolutely perfect, perhaps with a slightly chilled touch to the creamy mascarpone. The base of soft cookie added a delightful bottom layer that complemented the velvety smoothness of the dessert.
And, of course, no Italian meal is complete without a great espresso. The espresso served here transported me to Italy with its rich, aromatic intensity, concluding the dining experience on a high note.
I must also give a special mention to the impeccable service that accompanied this dinner. From the moment I walked in, the staff's attention to detail and warm hospitality were truly commendable. They were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also eager to provide recommendations and ensure that every aspect of the dining experience was impeccable.
Overall, dining at this Pizzeria Contemporánea was a culinary journey that left me thoroughly impressed. The attention to detail in presentation, the flavors, and the service all combined to create a truly unique experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of Italy right here at...
Read moreA very nice and modern take on the Italian cousine. Definitely recommend a visit for the food alone.
Unfortunately I can't give 5 stars overall as the service was surprisingly bad, almost comical, in our case. The waiter, who, as I understand, is actually the owner (which makes this even more surprising), was very polite but we felt almost completely ignored during the whole dinner. At first I thought maybe he was just too busy but no, it was a failure after failure even though the restaurant was almost empty by the end of our visit:
To sum it up - paying a little bit more attention and not being afraid to talk to the customers every now and then would help a lot here.
As for the atmosphere, the place is very nice and romantic but when you visit the toilet (there's only one) you'll find the door is extremely difficult to lock. The first time it took me almost a minute, the second I just gave up. It's such a small thing but it can immediately destroy all the effort that went into making everything look perfect. Surely a working door is more important than nice hand towels but for whatever reason it wasn't fixed in months as a friend who visited earlier remembered having the...
Read moreWith my friend we chose the Unica Pizza for the gourmet pizza.
The drinks were good with a fresh taste. The entrance was very good it was the "Bufala e Parma" the ham and bread were tasty but the buffalo wasn't that creamy unfortanatly it looked like more like a mozzarella, so I was a bit disappoint. It could be due to the day's arrival or something else, but it wasn't a success for the Buffalo.
Then we had a the gourmet pizza "Bosco" with truffle it was excellent for real ! It's a very different pizza with with a thicker paste and the garnish was generous. The products were fresh and full of taste. I can only recommended you to tri it !
Finally we had a tiramisu. Actually I expected a lot from this desert. But we hadn't thought of tiramisu got a solid base of pastry dough or something like that. As a result, I thought it was a shame to marry tiramisu with this stomach-churning base. I think it breaks the lightness of the dessert. The taste was still there, but the cake base was too much.
Anyway, I applaud the innovation of the dessert, which simply wasn't to our taste, but which I'm sure...
