Bósforos Turkish Hortaleza 42 // Restaurante Turco 100% Halal — Restaurant in Madrid

We were hunting for two restaurants only to get there and find one is closed down and the other gone missing.

We settled for a pizza joint only to walk past this Turkish restaurant, stopped and decided to ditch the pizza.

This is not a fancy restaurant, your usual quick bite style, uncomfortable and messy (even though it may not seem so 🙈).

It was quiet and got served by a pleasant lady.

Food came in due time and it was delicious.

Why the poor rating ? Cleanliness, what else.

They get a zero star here starting off by the waitress holding our cups at the top where we drink from ewwww.

I ask for straws and brought those open kind that may possibly be dirty as well.

I am not too sure if I'd come back here unless I buy my own straws and most definitely some...

One of the few halal places around. Given the limited choices, I would say the food is rather good.

Lets dive in!

Food: The taste is good as we needed the fresh food option, especially since we also needed it to be prepared for Halal.

Service: Staff were just being staff, not the best of staff level. But they did welcome us all, at the start, so that its why its 4 stars.

Atmosphere: There are touches of Turkish concepts and we did think that it had the flavor and colours of Turkiye here.

All in all, not bad choice. Would have all 5 stars if staff were more friendlier instead of being monotonous. But well, still a recommendation from...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bosforos, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. We came to watch a Real Madrid game and were looking for a Turkish restaurant. After visiting a couple of them, we stumbled upon Bosforos. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly. However, what truly stood out was the food – it was absolutely amazing.
