Barra Amelia — Restaurant in Madrid

What seems to be a cute little bar in the heart of Madrid turns out to have the best food i’ve ever tried in this city. The señora is very patient, kind, and sweet, and the experience was completely elevated with her personality.

For appetizers we got the grilled avocado and the guacamole, and if I could I would order those same appetizers hundreds of times over. The guacamole was very rich and tangy, and it is a must have.

For the main course, I ordered the gnocchi, and after tasting it I am never having any other gnocchi again. Usually the gnocchi in most restaurants is too doughy, but for this restaurant, when the gnocchi is complemented with the tomatos and sauce it is absolutely heavenly. Everything blends perfectly, leaving you in a state of full bliss.

For dessert my family and I decided to share the cheese tart, which once again, was phenomenal. It was light, airy, and a perfect conclusion to our night. If you’re staying in madrid this is a must...

Amazing place for food, drinks, tapas, cocktails. This gem in Barrio Justicia is a family-run business with huge experience in hospitality. Upon entering the place you feel at home and the staff is very friendly and multinational, with plenty of english speakers.
