Cafetería Amanda — Restaurant in Madrid

The waiter was patient and cared to help no Spanish speakers (he didn't know English -but was patient). The staff was helpful but there was a lot of activity in the bar, seemed very local and rowdy but was an experience overall. We ordered the antricot which I ordered by default since I didn't understand the menu. However, it was yummy and it came with potatoes (everything in Spain seems to as far as I can tell Haha) + peppers. The rest of the menu I'm clueless about. The napkins seemed to be made of plastic so hope you brought some napkins in your bag, but aside from that bathroom was clean and overall pleasant...

Ordered some calamari, and my friend didn’t even try them just by the look. I ate two of them after taking the grease off with a napkin, my tummy started aching. We informed the waiter who took them away upset. Not only he ignored our feedback about the state of the dish, but he almost told us off for informing him. Por encima de todo, nuestro respeto a la hostelería. Perdimos dos tercios un amigo y yo con la idea de pedir otros dos como hacemos siempre. Un camarero, incluso podría ser dueño me va a cobrar con datáfono, pero no le llegaba la señal. Como estaban a tope fuera, en la terraza y para no agobiarlo, le indiqué que me llevaba las cervezas a la mesa de al lado y que me avisara cuando tuviera wifi. Pasaron unos segundos y logró cobrarme. Le indiqué que me podría haber levantado sin problema y se lo agradecí, llamándome la atención de que sin decime un gracias, solo me mirara de manera extraña.. Posteriormente pedimos otras dos a una camarera y nos cobraron 0'80 menos. Motivo: el sinvergüenza primero nos premió nuestro gesto con 0'40 céntimos más a cada tercio de 2,50 cada uno como mínimo por llevarnos el datáfono con mala señal al otro lado de la barra. Bar tachado de la calle Argumosa. Vaya gesto feo; pero viendo posteriormente la iteración de éste individuo con sus compañeros/trabajadores, no nos extraña... Esos gestos y esa mirada, lo delatan.. *Estoy viendo ahora algunos comentarios anteriores al mío y efectivamente, si ellos creen que vas de paso o no les suenas, TE LA CLAVAN. Lo nuestro fue solo...
