Raja Hindustani Maisha — Restaurant in Madrid

The food here is pretty good and the prices are good too. The service isn't the best. I asked for chicken madras and I specifically requested the waiter ask the cook to make it very spicy. The waiter proceeded to tell me he'd put me in a medium spicy because if the food is too spicy then I won't eat it. I'm almost 30 years old. I'm not a five year old. I know what I'm ordering.

Next a group of people show up with a greyhound and sit at the table next to us. There really wasn't much space between the tables and the dog began to wander under our table and such. Our food comes and the dog nears the table looking like at any moment he's going to grab something off my plate. The owner was oblivious. So I move our table further away from theirs. The waiter comes flying out of the restaurant saying I can't move the tables. I explained the dog was a nuisance and he acknowledged what I said and proceeded to put the table in the exact same position right next to the group with the dog as if I hadn't just complained about that.

Food I’d good and the prices are good too. However, although the owners/staff are friendly the service leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered a set price menu (starter,main course, dessert and drinks). First two courses were served promptly but after finishing our main course we sat around for over half an hour waiting for our plates to be removed and dessert served. Eventually I drew the attention of the waiter (owners brother) who took away dishes but still failed to serve dessert. We eventually gave up. My partner went up to pay and asked the owner if dessert was included in the menu. The owner replied that it was. “Well we didn’t get ours” replied my partner. Then, just as we were leaving..coats on..she served us with dessert. I don’t expect to be ignored like this in a restaurant. Too much attention paid to serving drinks outside and too little attention to diners inside. Please learn the meaning of good service. I won’t not return. Three star rating I am giving is a fair balance of good food and price but...

Genuinely abysmal service. I rarely leave bad reviews but this place warrants one. We sat down not long before they have to close the terrace due to laws, yet they harassed us about how a few people in our very large group didn't order drinks (even though everyone else did). They griped at us multiple times, brought us drinks we didn't ask for, and then wouldn't let us pay the bill without forcing us to pay together. I would understand the attitude if most people weren't drinking or we had taken a table during prime hours, but they were literally going to close when we left. I'm genuinely surprised how rude the...
