Casa Vecchia — Restaurant in Madrid

Antonio and Andrea have managed to wow with authentic Italian food at affordable prices. Located in the Prosperidad market, it's inconspicuous location may cause one to skip it over if not aware. However, the food is a different story. The flavors are well balanced, and the recipes are traditional. The true star here however is the pasta itself. The pasta is extremely chewy and satisfying in texture, and is consistently al dente. The rest of the dishes are delicious as well. And make sure you finish with the cannoli, it's the perfect end to a perfect meal.

I stayed in Madrid for 3 months and made it a point to come as often as possible. It was nice to support not only quality food but also quality people as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience Casa Vecchia, I will be back the next time...

Lástima que esté en un mercado...no porque el lugar sea inapropiado....si no porque se merece estar en un sitio donde pueda disfrutarlo mas gente... Nos atendió un chico (no se el nombre no se lo pregunté) encantador, paciente, nos indicó todas las posibilidades y nos hizo recomendaciones con una maravillosa amabilidad, da gusto que te atienda gente así.... gracias. pedimos pizza, bolognesa, pasta con trufa y mantequilla y raviolis con pera y gorgonzola Es dificil destacar en la elaboración de pizzas y de espaguetti bolognesa, así que en ese aspecto cumple, sin llegar a destacar....pero su plato estrella, de raviolis de pera y gorgonzola......perdonad la expesion, pero es que estaban acojonantes ¡¡¡ igual me estoy dejando llevar por la emoción del momento, pero es que era un festival de contrastes perfectamente aglutinados y ejecutados....que en boca...explotaban..... de verdad...fantásticos, la pasta con trufa también estaba especialmente buena....pero los raviolis..... extraordinarios. Me quedé con ganas de probar los raviata, así que me lleve uno en un tuper.....quería que picaran....y pican...pero no mucho....pero bueno...yo es que aguanto muy bien el picante...en cualquier...

I never post reviews but this was some of the best best Italian food I have had. Located in an underground gastropub mall, this unassuming spot is owned by the sweetest couple. They make all their food themselves based on the owners Italian grandmothers recipes. All the ingredients are chosen with care and the Italian wines...
